Draw a outline of the gherkin and see what it looks like to the untrained eye. Maybe the London eye would be a decent idea if we knew it would remain a iconic image in years to come - but imho it is a bit old hat now - most deffinitly in 2012. I dunno - it aint as easy as we think.
I fucking can't stand the guy. Plus who outside of the UK knows who he is ?. Big ben yes - as cliched as it would be - yeah why not.
This logo just keeps getting better and better... http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/london/6724245.stm Epilepsy fears over Olympic logo The new logo for the 2012 London Olympic Games could trigger epileptic fits and should not be shown on television, an expert has said. Professor Graham Harding developed the test used to measure photo-sensitivity levels in television material. He said the logo has failed the communication watchdog's Ofcom's guidelines and the flickering version of the logo should not be shown again. Organisers London 2012 said it was looking into it as a matter of urgency. The jagged emblem, based on the date 2012, was unveiled on Monday. Professor Harding is an expert clinical neuro-physiology and he designed a test which all moving adverts need to undergo, to check they will not trigger a reaction in people with epilepsy. He told BBC London 94.9FM: "The logo should not be shown on TV at all."
I'm sorry guys - i'm sure there are people that you do not like who are ''national treasures'' and i love with all my heart.. Mr Mcdonald just winds me up - yes it is irrational but that is just the way it is. Come on though used as a symbol for the olympics *stiffles giggles* - that is a bit much.
Heh, such a good line you quoted it twice  For those of you who don't like Trevor McDonald, I whipped this little beauty of an alternate logo up:
Michael, I really do think I love you You deserve some kind of award for that! I will consult through my spirit medium with Noel and let you know his thoughts
Once again we enter the next step of the olympic build up and now they have unveiled the official logo. Apparently it makes people sensitive to light have severe epilepsy. Whoever bypassed ofcoms regs must be a right twat as this sensation is now well and truly going to affect the olympics popularity. Personally I think people should not lose their heads and instead keep the logo but treat it so it doesn't potentially kill anyone or evoke severe fits. On a note of my thoughts of the logo, it looks so like it was created using a 1990's graphic computer programme. Could easily pass as a 90''s childrens tv logo. Fun house or Run the risk. This is just a little hitch. When we consider the scale of the olympics, we must allow for tiny mistakes.
