You're right. It's all bullshit. Everything is fine. Forget the weather. Move on now---and don't forget to buy more. Buy more now.

After a week or so of cooler weather (80 somethings) we are back into the 90's for another string of days.

Weird because I live in Kalgoorlie (Desert), West Australia and our summer wasn't nearly as hot as previous years and our current winter isn't nearly as cold... although I do work in the evening and sleep in :sunny:

Well its been pissing down most of the summer here in England, in fact it has been the wettest so-called summer i have ever known, seems that the weather is becoming increasingly like that of Wales, Ireland and Scotland...always raining more than sunshine:(

Still, i guess its better than having water droughts.

    We just get floods instead.

I doubt anyone is saying it is not happening. It is. But to pretend that the earth does not go through natural warming and cooling cycles is is not to be ignored, that is what a lot of people are getting at. Scientists have a few 100 years of records, if that, compared to 4 billion years of existence for this earth. Too small of a sample size compared to how old the earth is, as one can easily see. Plus, just 30-40 years ago they were all afraid of global cooling. Odd, eh?

    "Of course many around here"

I was referring to my locality and they most certainly are running around saying "it's not happening"... The further argument of what's causing it is getting drowned out by all the screaming. You don't know what it's like where I live.

QTF... The amount of COx released into the air by humans is piddly compared to the amount that is put there by nature.. via volcanoes, wild fires, underground fires, coal seam fires, etc.. The bigger shame is the people mocking you. Yes humans have an issue with pollution.. If we are the cause for the weather and all other issues of the earth as we know it.. Then we are the tip of the iceburg.. an iceburg about the size of Mt. Kilimanjaro... when it comes to whats contributed to our climate change.. Climate change is cyclical.. And never has it been uniform in time. All this that is/has happened.. has happened times before.. well before our kind evolved here

That's true but to say that human activity, especially since the industrial revolution, hasn't impacted the environment/climate is equally ignorant.

When a volcano erupts that can dump that much CO2 it is usually a singular event and not an ongoing occurrence. The levels of any gasses released will dissipate through natural process', usually long before the next huge eruption on the planet. So while erupting volcanoes may cause a brief increase, human activity is an ongoing constant process in which the amounts of shit we produce continues to grow. The complete opposite of natural occurrences.

So combine natural events with man-made and then it should be easy to see the problem.
The problem is that the planet is not being given time to re-establish equilibrium and we start experiencing things like climate changes.

Humans have been having an impact on local climates for eons through agriculture, logging, rerouting waterways etc.
But the activity that has the biggest impact on the climate has been going for thousands of years, cattle farming.
The domestication and farming of cattle produces more methane, a more important greenhouse gas than CO2, than all other sources combined.

So man has been doing shit to impact climate since we first banged two sticks together. But where there used to be a few million people on the planet banging sticks and building fires, now there are over 7 billion people all doing some small part to contribute. :)

you do realize that volcanoes are constantly erupting right? it's not just something that happens a couple times a year?

    Europe and Atlantic Ocean:

    Iceland:

    Africa and Indian Ocean:

    Indonesia:

    Aleutians, Alaska and North America:

    Central America and Carribean:

    South America:

    Other regions:

    • Erebus (Antarctica)
    • Siple (Marie Byrd Land, Western Antarctica)
    Pacific Ocean:

Ring of Fire (Kurile Islands to Philippines):

This list represents volcanoes that are either currently erupting or showing minor signs of eruption.. in both cases.. they would be releasing gases into the atmosphere
