Shit, so now what do I do? That was seriously the only one I would have even considered voting for. I registered in time for the primaries this year just so I could vote for him. of course, PA being the douche state it is, doesn't have primaries until late april.
I dunno. Personally I hated almost all his politics, and found his supporters grossly misinformed. If you liked his politics, I would suggest supporting the Libertarian Party. http://www.lp.org/
What are you talking about? And Barack Obama's supporters aren't misinformed? Try reading the US Constitution.
I was well informed, I watched many of his speeches, I did my reasearch etc. At this point in time, its all about voting against hillary. Just can't let that happen.
Hey check this out, this Daniel Williams guy's campaign has raised $25. Someone give poor man a donation! I'm for the underdog. Williams '08!
Why is this all so confusing. Every which way you look theres something else going on. Too many things going on, too many distractions.
I include you among the misinformed Conspiracy Mcgee. Whilst the constitution is the most important document for American citizens, it doesn't have much content supporting one canidate over another.
Not to mention that his voice sounds like the Land Shark from the old Saturday Night Live episodes. .
See this is why voter turnout is always shit. People just get fed up and sick and tired of trying to keep up with all this shit. As if we don't have enough shit to deal with.
You said Paul's supporters are misinformed. Most Paul supporters I have talked to can at least tell you what the first and second amendment is. People who are informed are going to vote for a person that adheres to the Constitution. They're not going to vote for a big government socialist puppet ike Obama. So how can you say Paul's supporters are misinformed?
Ron Paul's statement: “I am honored that the voters in the 14th District expressed their continued confidence in my leadership by overwhelmingly reelecting me to the House of Representatives. I have no Democrat opponent in November and will serve another term in Congress where I will continue my battle in behalf of taxpayers. My message of limited-government and upholding the Constitution has once again been endorsed by the conservative-minded voters in my district. They understand and support the battle I have waged for thirty years to make the federal government smaller, to reduce wasteful government spending, to balance the budget, and to promote a foreign policy that always puts America first. Some Washington insiders would have you believe that Republicans no longer believe in the principles our country and party were founded upon, but the voters in my district have once again proven them wrong. The message of freedom is popular, and I will continue to trumpet it in Congress and across America as I fight on behalf of the conservative, common sense values which made our country so great. In conclusion, I would like to offer my thanks and gratitude to all of the wonderful people who supported me in this campaign. I look forward to representing all of the good people of the 14th District of Texas in Congress in the years to come.”
That doesn't mean he'll run unopposed. Independants often don't begin campaigning untill after the primaries. He has not won. Granted, I'm not saying he's an Ashcroft that will lose to a dead rival. But he has not won the election.
I've also yet to have many relevant debate with Paul supporters on the issues, as they rather prefer to make vague comments about the constitution or liberty, whilst failing to mention anything specific. It's a bit of a dog and pony show.
