Thanks for the kind words. One of these days I really do need to come for a visit..... we could sit around a campfire & swap kudzu stories. Some spots around here were soooo dry even the kudzu shriveled up & died !!! Never heard of that happening. I've not got any animals but neighbors of mine, a big family, long time in the area, have 4 family farms within a mile of here. After over 50 years of being "horse people" & raising cows have given them up. Can't feed or water them --- too much $$$$. I use to swap them tomatoes & stuff for what they cleaned from the horse stalls -- big compost pile help (use to cross the fence on my east property line into the cow pasture - do a little gathering too), but that's all over & gone now.

But I'm doing Ok, I guess, but I don't know if I'll go back to making a living out of gardening. Of course, come this winter, when I always have been getting started.... well, it'll probably be harder to not do it than to do it. On the other hand, I'm only about 2 years from social security retirement checks & I'd kind of (a lot) like to get back to the "old days" of gardening for fun, instead of to support me & the farm. Growing stuff I like to grow & eat instead of concentrating on what I can sell. Been missing that more & more each year.... maybe go back to growing some rabbits, get a couple bee hives & try that again.... HMmmmm.

    Peace,
