09 annual gathering

I really want to show up to one of these gatherings one of these days. I don't personally have any rainbow family friends - except for the ones I've met online, and being a poor college kid I don't have money for traveling. I've thought about train hopping and hitch hiking - but I do not want to spend my summer vacation in a New Mexico county jail.

Hey I know for sure "Co. Regionals" rock. See what they're up to, go to it first get an idea what you need to feel more secure at a nationals. There should be enough time to go to national if you want to, after regional. And its a good way to learn good trail tips n tricks (rap)for a successful gathering. It does seem like ater utah I remember folks saying thats where they were heading.? Ive heard it rocks probably cause folks drop in fresh from nationals ehh.

You have heard an incorrect rumor. The '09 Annual RFOLL Gathering will be in New Mexico.

Someone is lying to you The Gathering will be in New Mexico. There will be at least a couple little regionals over the 4th, one in the Great Lakes region, WI or MI, and a small gathering in MO. Where did you hear this rumor?

heya. pack a bedroll.pack,with small bit of essentials, got to a big truckstop and ask a trucker to use the cb.ask around if anyone is going that way and then you can possibly offer to clean their rims in trade or whatever...other ways are to stand on the side of the road, with yer thumb out of coarse.haha.or get on here and say really loud, ANYBODY FROM CLOSE TO ME GOING THAT WAY! gas money helps....a lot....so, hope you can pull it together you should at least go to one in your life time.....it will change your life.peace out many trails....

Many people dislike the term "National" Gathering to describe the annual event which as occurred in a different National Forest over the week of the 4th of July every year since 1972. Most of their reasons have something to do with people not seeing themselves, or the Gathering, as part of the Nation known as the United States of America. Or something like that, I think. I prefer "Annual Gathering" to refer to this event because it makes me appear to be PC in their eyes, and I like the etymological relationship between "annual" and "anus". It gives one a different perspective on Main Circle. But those who know me IRL will confirm that I am something of an odd bird.

Saying that there is an "alternative" to the National Gathering, (I'll use your term so we both know what you're talking about) is like saying that bottom shelf vodka is an alternative to single malt Scotch. If I am going to drink rotgut booze, it will not be some brand that tries to advertise itself as single malt Scotch. If there is such a thing as Rainbow Values, honesty is one of them.

Last year I went to the 38th ANNUAL Rainbow Family (American- held in the USA therefore NATIONAL) Gathering.
But...there are other American gatherings...as in other countries in N/S America. Then there's the InterNATIONAL Gathering. Doesn't that make all Nationals...regionals?

Fuck it. I'm going to New Mexico to THE GATHERING in June...that's all!

The Rainbow hierarchy value is Love. Love without honesty, would be to say, Love with dishonesty. Would be like asking for scotch and water and getting a scotch n piss. Honestly I believe where family Gathers is the Rainbow. I'm sure your right its the, Annual Gathering. When we gather in local regions once a year its can be referred to as annual Regional Gathering , also can referred to this as the Regionals, as I do. When the once a year the Tribes all gather in one place at one time, The Annual Gathering in a National forest, can be referred to as the annual National Gathering of the Rainbow Family of Living Light, can be referred to as the, Nationals, as I and many other non anal anus's do. I promise not to care how anyone refers to Phamily events as long as Love n Peace is the call to brotherhood. As well I promise not to care when Rainbow nazi's correct my incorrectness IRL. All in all
pissing contests of proper form distract from the reason we gather. Starting before the 72 First annual Gathering, was the Love Fest. They came together for Love. As we still do. Being a Movie of the evolution of folks Gathering in Love, prophesied to Heal the earth,( not the name) the folks Living in Light of Love can heal anything, including a planet. Part of this evolution of folks in the Light may be that family offering family options to the Annual Gathering (for the sake of the Rainbow sensitive IRL) hereafter called incorrectly and informally, the "alternatives",ie (AGOTT) to the Annual Gathering on the 4th. Which is what I'm curious about. The more I learn bout them the more it seems a direction we are heading. Opinions of good or bad is not important. Unity is, conversation is, Love is. People can gather in mass, or only two, once a week ,once a yr,the Love always makes them Rainbow. Without the Love, its another pissing contest. We all lose. I'm not sure how the Rainbow will look in 20 yrs, or what it may call itself. I am sure it will be the young of todays family that will shape that. So its important they learn Peace that comes from Love from us, so it will always look like Love n Peace. A continuing Miracle, the way my first gathering looked to me, A Miracle of Peaceful Energy's under the Rainbow.
