I'm trying to suggest stuff based on his bands.. haha I wanna suggest what *I* like too not that I'm suggesting stuff I don't like. Anyways, one last I guess: The Rolling Stones - pre-1973
~I dont think I saw any Bob Dylan on the list.!? Try the albums Desire, Street Legal, Highway 61 Revisited, Blonde on Blonde, Blood on The Tracks, haha..basically any Bob Dylan album, theyre great! ~Another good album is Jerry Garcia and David Grisman "Shady Grove" ~John Butler Trio ~Cream, fuckin awesome..if youre in the mood for some Clapton- "Me and Mr. Johnson" Awesome cd, great blues covers of robert johnson. ~The Black Keys- Rubber Factory ~The Who-Tommy!! ~The Rolling Stones- Exile on Main Street; Beggar's Banquet. ~Hambone- Lightning in my Hands..AMAZING album!
curtis mayfield is pretty good, hotwater. good choice. you probably won't like them, cause most people i know don't, but i dont pass up a chance to suggest people give rasputina a try: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=00HEKhc5rT0 otis redding: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=wzrXc68gNjQ ravi shankar is a beast: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=LzN2gUGYUGc

Not sure if you'd like Gram Parsons, but you could give it a go. GP/Grievous Angel is a good cd. ;] Muddy Waters- good album to get would be The Complete Plantation Recordings, has some really good stuff on it.
mmmm jewish rye if you like the beatles, you should check out george harrison's solo stuff. in my opinion, the best solo work put out by any former beatle. (though early on after the beatles paul mccartney did some good work. dont much care for john lennon though) http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=vm_N3bjqlr4 http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=xr6qpwodv9w damnit hotwater, i followed one of your links and now i've been using uk youtube instead of the proper american youtube:cuss: i suppose this is easily fixed. but its the principle of the thing!
okay, dave... my buddy from Roo... here's his music blog... it's excellent and there are downloads. www.wedrinkoldgold.blogspot.com pretty much anything off there.. a lot of goood indie. minus a lot of shit his friend posts... early hip hop and the occasional good brazilia beat...
