Rooms at the iconic Trump International Hotel in Washington DC are $7,500 cheaper for the night than they were exactly a year ago. - Luxurylaunches

    excerpt:

"Virtuoso quietly eliminated all 10 Trump-branded hotels and resorts from its list of preferred partners without much hype, severely hindering Trump’s hotel management and licensing business. It was already down $24 million since 2019, as well as his golf resorts in Miami and Europe, were down by $120 million. For those who have always wanted to stay at the exclusive Trump International Hotel, this rate drop poses good news only for you!"

Wonder if MI legislators Shirkey and Chatfield personally paid Trump International Hotel $8,000 each for staying there when he summoned them to the White House to try to overturn the 2020 election. Chatfield and his entourage were seen drinking $600 per bottle wine.

Orange County was traditionally a conservative stronghold. However, with a change in demographics it has become more moderate. I guess there are still people who yearn for the past.

Trump 'Stop the Steal' loyalist, Mastriano, running for PA governor.

Conservative firebrand Doug Mastriano enters Pennsylvania governor’s race

    excerpt:

"Mr. Mastriano’s key to success in the GOP primary would appear to be emerging as the top choice of the hard-core Trump supporters in the Republican electorate, something he has a running start on given his vocal support of the “Stop the Steal” efforts in late 2020. And he would have to hold on to them in the face of opponents’ counter-arguments that Mr. Mastriano could struggle to grow his base in a broader, general election.

As a sign that he’s looking for something like a Trump endorsement in this race, speakers for Mr. Mastriano’s campaign launch included Mr. Trump’s former national security adviser Michael Flynn and attorney Jenna Ellis, a member of the legal team that advanced Mr. Trump’s court efforts to overturn the 2020 results.

Mr. Mastriano, 58, was elected to the state Senate in May 2019 to represent Franklin and Adams counties after a special election to fill the vacancy created by the mid-term resignation of former Sen. Rich Alloway."

Trump attracts some of the most grievance-ridden, unstable personalities.

Inside Klete Keller's fall from Olympic gold to the Capitol riot

    excerpt:

"The prominent role played by far-right groups like the Three Percenters, Proud Boys and Oath Keepers in the attack has captured much of the public’s attention. But most of those charged, like Keller, weren’t members of extremist organizations. They held middle-class jobs. Their average age was 39, according to George Washington University’s Program on Extremism. The vast majority — 87% — were men. They came from 45 states and the District of Columbia. They carried a deep sense of grievance.

Hundreds of pages of court records, emails and interviews with more than 30 friends, teammates and associates show that Keller’s journey to the Capitol was the latest and most bewildering choice in a life beset by struggles since retiring from swimming more than a decade ago. A revolving series of jobs. Divorce. Living in his car for 10 months. A bitter child custody dispute. Allegations of erratic behavior."

Inside Klete Keller's fall from Olympic gold to the Capitol riot

    excerpt:

""But many of those who know Keller remain puzzled by his involvement.

“He was struggling with identity and hard times,” said Hall, the Olympic medalist. “That’s what these radicals prey upon. He got swept up in it.”

Soteres put it bluntly: “This is a guy who has been given more second chances than most people get first chances.”

As part of a deal with prosecutors, Keller pleaded guilty Sept. 29 to a felony count of obstructing Congress. He won’t be sentenced until his cooperation with the government is finished. But he faces much more than a fine. Sentencing guidelines call for 21 to 27 months in federal prison.""

Keller's saga has the makings of a spoof athlete Wheaties TV commercial, like the one with Bruce Jenner, with video of Keller attacking police while a box of Trump Tweeties is shown.

"I worked hard that glorious day. Downed a lot of cops and downed a lot of Tweeties."

Add Senator Mike Rounds to Trump's retaliation list.

GOP Senator Undermines Trump's Fraud Claims: 'The Election Was Fair'

    excerpt:

"Republican Senator Mike Rounds committed MAGA heresy on Sunday: He stated that Joe Biden’s 2020 win over Donald Trump was part of a fair election, contradicting Trump’s lies about a stolen election. Appearing on This Week, the senator said, “The election was fair, as fair as we have seen. We simply did not win the election, as Republicans, for the presidency.”

Rounds said that he examined numerous allegations of voter fraud and dismissed them all as inconsequential. “As a part of our due diligence, we looked at over 60 different accusations made in multiple states,” the senator told host George Stephanopoulos. “While there were some irregularities, there were none of the irregularities which would have risen to the point where they would have changed the vote outcome in a single state.”

“As a part of our due diligence, we looked at over 60 different accusations made in multiple states…The election was fair, as fair as we've seen. We simply did not win the election, as Republicans, for the presidency,” GOP Sen. Mike Rounds says. Republican senator says Trump's fate should be left to the courts pic.twitter.com/hCJydQPlyj"

Regarding the courts, when Raffensperger of GA told Trump during the infamous phone call to present his evidence in court, Trump said that he couldn't gain any traction in the courts, including ones where he appointed the judges and the Supreme Court with three of his appointees.

Trump apparently won only one court case after the 2020 election, based on nitpicking a technicality, that shortened by a few days the window for allowing late-arriving ballots to be counted in PA. It was a drop in the bucket of Trump's 81,000 vote deficit in PA.

Mike Rounds is a senator from South Dakota (Trump country).

He is currently serving his second U.S. Senate term.

He was governor of SD from 2003 to 2011.

Trump will find some way of discrediting his career in governance, now that he has publicly disagreed with Trump's election lies.

Trump is back to crowd size again as a way of trying to defend himself against Biden's Jan. 6 anniversary speech.

Donald Trump's 'broken brain' and ego are at the source of latest crowd size rant: Acosta and Avlon

    excerpt:

""John, I've said this before. I think his brain is broke[n]," said Avlon. "There's no other description for when he says these things. He has this Pavlovian way of -- he has to talk about crowd sizes in the most inappropriate situations. I don't understand why he would even -- it's just sick."

"Sure, you do!" Avlon countered. "It's because it's all about Trump and his ego, which is simultaneously massive and fragile, so he wants to measure it. It's all about size for him. So, he's got to get some kind of interrogate interrogator who fluffs him up. It's just his own pathetic, incredible, fragile ego."

Avlon showed a video of Donie O'Sullivan's interviews with Trump supporters who proclaimed that the Jan. 6 attack was done by Democrats or was an FBI false flag operation. He explained that there are so many propaganda outlets where Trump supporters congregate and the networks stroke Trump's ego."

Jim Jordan formally announces he is hiding after saying he had nothing to hide.

Jim Jordan Refuses to Cooperate With Jan. 6 Panel

    excerpt:

"WASHINGTON — Representative Jim Jordan, Republican of Ohio, announced on Sunday that he was refusing to cooperate with the House select committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol, joining a growing list of allies of former President Donald J. Trump who have adopted a hostile stance toward the panel’s questions.

In an effort to dig into the role that members of Congress played in trying to undermine the 2020 election, the committee informed Mr. Jordan in December by letter that its investigators wanted to question him about his communications related to the run-up to the Capitol riot. Those include Mr. Jordan’s messages with Mr. Trump and his legal team as well as others involved in planning rallies on Jan. 6 and congressional objections to certifying Joseph R. Biden Jr.’s victory.

Mr. Jordan — who in November told the Rules Committee that he had “nothing to hide” regarding the Jan. 6 committee’s investigation — on Sunday denounced the bipartisan panel’s inquiry as among what he called the Democrats’ “partisan witch hunts.”"

Trump reportedly had Fox media personalities dialed into his oval office meetings.

Trump would dial Fox News hosts Sean Hannity and Lou Dobbs into Oval Office meetings, report says

    excerpt:

"Several of Fox News's top hosts served as a "Cable Cabinet of unofficial advisers," according to the Washington Post.

In recent weeks, the House select committee investigating the January 6 Capitol attack released numerous text messages from various Fox News hosts to former Trump chief of staff Mark Meadows on the day of the insurrection.

A former senior administration official, who spoke to The Post on the condition of anonymity, said that the influence extended into the very heart of the president's administration, and Trump would sometimes dial Fox News hosts Sean Hannity and Lou Dobbs into Oval Office staff meetings.

"A lot of it was PR — what he should be saying and how he should be saying it; he should be going harder against wearing masks or whatever," Stephanie Grisham, former press secretary to President Donald Trump, told The Post. "And they all have different opinions, too.""
