Hi everybody,
I had to run to Walmart and it’s a awesome day to be barefoot. Yesterday it was cold and snowing and I still went barefoot at Sam’s club and to a fast food restaurant to get dinner. And the manager at the fast food restaurant ask me isn’t it to cold to be running around barefoot? I said no I’m always barefoot all year around and one of the other managers she came up and said that He’s always barefoot and he comes in here barefoot all the time and in all types of weather. And the first manager she said I wish I could go barefoot like you do . I told her it’s never to let to start going barefoot. She said she goes barefoot at home and drives barefoot but never goes barefoot in stores or fast food places. I ask her if she is foot shy and she said yes . I told her that if she wants to go barefoot everywhere like I do just start out going barefoot at a park or around your house. And work up to going barefoot in other places. And I told her if she has I friend that goes barefoot in public she should go barefoot with her and that will help her to start getting over her foot shyness. She said she is going to go barefoot more often and I told her that she will see me in her store barefoot. Today at Walmart I had people look at me and then look at my bare feet. I had one guy ask me where are my shoes and all I said was I never wear socks or shoes. He was amazed and he asked me if he could talk to me about going barefoot. I said ok so as he was shopping he was asking me questions why I’m barefoot and why I don’t wear shoes. And I told why I don’t wear socks or shoes and I told him that my feet are so happy and that my back pain is gone . He was like how I told him that we are not made to wear shoes that’s why a lot of people have foot problems and why people get hammer toes and that going barefoot is better and healthier for you . Yes some people will say it’s not healthy and it’s gross to walk around barefoot. But wearing socks and shoes are not good for you. Your feet sweat in your socks and shoes and that how your feet start to smell and if you get shoes of a certain type or style you develop hammer toes and bunions and other foot problems. And then he said oh here’s my wife and she looked at me and she said wow you’re barefoot and I said yes I am . And she said isn’t there a law that you can’t be barefoot in a store I said no there’s no law like that and theirs no health code that tells people that you have to wear shoes in a store or in public places. And she said that she loves being barefoot and she told me that one time she went to the same Walmart that we are at the greeter told her she needs to wear shoes or flip flops and she can’t be in the store barefoot. And even since then she wear shoes and she hates wearing shoes and I told her I’m the same way. As we were talking the store manager came up and said hey barefoot rick how are you doing today. And I told him I’m going and he said it’s a great day to be barefoot right I said yes it is. And I asked him to tell his lady that she can shop barefoot at this store. And he told her that it’s ok to shop here barefoot and nobody should tell you that you need shoes. And she said so I can take off my sandals and shop barefoot right now and he said yes . The next thing I saw she took off her sandals and said that she was told that she needed to have shoes on to shop here . And he ask her who told her that and she said a greeter he was a older guy . And he said I know who it was and he told us that he was fired because he was even telling a lady that had her kids with her and the kids were barefoot and that the kids needed to wear shoes on or they would have to leave . And he was very rude and blocking her from shopping. So they fired him so now people can come in barefoot and shop . I told the manager thanks for taking to them and he went on his way back to work. And I told them I had to go and I hope to see them shopping barefoot this spring and summer and they said you have a great day and I told them the same . And I came home I hope this spring and summer that more people will go barefoot in public and at stores. Will everybody keep barefooting.

I got up this morning and looked outside and it snowed so I had to go outside and remove the snow. And yes I did that barefoot and as I was cleaning the snow off my walkway and I notice that my neighbor across the street was cleaning the snow off of her driveway. She notice that I was barefoot and she walked over and ask me if I was ok or I needed help? I told her no thanks I’m ok my snow joe is doing a great job. And she ask me if she could ask me a question I said sure. So she ask me why am I barefoot and not wearing boots or shoes? I told her that I’m barefoot all year around I never wear socks or shoes ever. She was amazed that I don’t wear shoes or socks and she ask me if my bare feet are cold ? And I told her that not they are not cold and that I’m use to being barefoot in the snow and in cold temperatures. And she said wow that’s amazing that you’re always barefoot. And she told me that she saw me in the summer time mowing my lawn barefoot and doing yard work barefoot . I said I do everything barefoot I drive barefoot and I go everywhere barefoot. She told me that she goes barefoot in the summer time and in her house and she does drive barefoot but that’s it . And I said that I have been going barefoot for 33 years and she was really amazed and she told me that the neighbors around us told her don’t call the police or the fire department if she sees me outside in the snow barefoot that just me and that I’m ok . She thought they were kidding . But now she knows that they weren’t. She ask me if I go to the stores barefoot and I said yes I do and I even go to fast food places and restaurants barefoot. She said wow I have never knew someone that goes barefoot like I do and specially a guy that goes barefoot as much as I do . After talk I went back to removing the snow and it was really nice that my neighbors said something to the new neighbor . It’s nice to have neighbors that look out for their neighbors. After I was done I went and ask her if she needed help she said yes so I helped her and she said thanks and I said if you need anything just let me know. And she said wow your bare feet are not even red they look normal and she ask me if I get pedicures I said yes I do and I get my toes painted in clear nail polish and she said I notice and she ask me where do I go for my pedicure I told her snowflake nail salon. She said she is going to make a appointment with them and I told her that I get a pedicure every month. And then I said will I better go I have to go to the store she said goodbye I said goodbye and I went to Walmart and did I get a lot of looks from people. It was still snowing and the roads were really bad but I just put my truck in 4 wheel drive in high 4 wheel and went to Walmart. Most of the people looked at me and I could hear them say this guy must be on drugs to be barefoot in this weather! I said no I’m not on drugs I just don’t wear shoes. And I went and got what I needed and paid for it and walked out and I saw some people wearing sock with their sandals and one lady she will I better take my socks off when I get to the car and she looked at me and she said wow you’re barefoot I said I am . She said maybe I should have just left my socks off and just worn my sandals I said that would have been a good idea. I told her have a good day and I got in my truck and I saw her get in her car but before that I saw her take off her sandals before she go in her car . I was thinking she should have just gone barefoot but then I thought most people don’t go barefoot in this type of weather just the hardcore barefooter like me . Will everybody keep barefooting.

This morning me and my fishing buddy went fishing it was a every cold morning it was 28 degrees Fahrenheit. And yes I was barefoot the whole time and their was a think layer of ice on some of the water . But we found a opening where there was no ice so we throw our lines in the water and in no time the fish were biting and we started hooking the fish and as we were bringing in the first fish and wow it was a really good size!! And then thing is that it was so cold that the water on our line was freezing on our line !! And when my buddy got his fish close enough so I could use the net . The fish almost didn’t fit in the net . We got it in and as soon as the water dripped off the fish it froze to the ground and some water hit my barefoot and it was cold but it felt good . And we were catching fish and as we were bringing in our fish I heard are the fish biting?? It was two police officers and all I could think ok someone called the cops because I’m out here barefoot and it’s cold .... Will I was right they started asking questions like where are your shoes? Do you need help ?? And my favorite are you homeless do you need a place to stay ??? I looked at them and I answered all of their questions and my fishing buddy was pulled aside they asked him questions about why am I barefoot!!! And he told them that I never wear socks or shoes and I haven’t worn socks or shoes in 33 years!!!!! And I told the cops the same thing and they were asking you sure you don’t need medical attention?? I told them I’m a barefooter and I get this all the time and they said if you don’t want to have the cops called all the time you should wear shoes!!! I told them that I don’t like shoes and I love my barefoot lifestyle and I’m not going to change it for nobody!!! And nobody can make me wear shoes and I also told them that people should let people like me that go barefoot everywhere and all year around let us live our barefoot lifestyle we are not hurting anybody!!! And they said that people so someone like me they think that you need help or your homeless?? I told the cops only because I’m barefoot doesn’t mean that I’m in need of help or I’m homeless !!! They said yeah you are right and I told the cops that I wish people would just let us barefoot people live barefoot and not think that we need help or we are homeless and maybe they should ask the person if they are ok instead of calling the cops and taking the cops away from more important things !! And they agreed with me and they took my information and I told them that if they ever get a call of a guy fishing and he is barefoot it’s just me . They said ok and as we hooked our last big fish and we started packing up to leave they said that now they have seen it all . And I told them that I’m the only person crazy enough to be barefoot in this cold weather and I also told them that I remove snow in my bare feet and that the city I live in most of the cops know who I am and when they get a call of a barefoot guy using a snowblower and he’s barefoot they all know it’s me . They were amazed and I said if you don’t believe me call the cops where I live and just tell them my name and they will tell you that I’m always barefoot in all types of weather !! They said that they are going to do that . And by the time we loaded up my truck one of the officers said that he called them and the verified that I’m always barefoot and the call me Barefoot Rick and the cop said that yeah they know me and that I never wear shoes!! So after we load up and my truck doors open we ask if we could go and they said yes and have a great day. All in all it was a good day here’s a picture of the fish we caught today!! Today I had to go and put gas in my truck and yes I went barefoot like always. Today the temperature was in the high 40’s and as I was waiting to put gas in at Sam’s club I was thinking about how good the weather is to be barefoot. And then I got to the pump and I started filling my tank up and I hear I love the color of your toes. I looked around and on the other side of the gas pump a guy was looking at me and smiling and he said again I love the color of your toes! I said thanks and he asked me who did my toes I told him who and he said wow your toes look gorgeous and I said thanks and he said he needed to get his toes done so I looked at his toes and he was barefoot and his toes were painted in a hot pink and he really needed to get them redone. So we were talking and he asked me if I get pedicures it just my toes painted?? I told him I get pedicures once a month and I usually get clear nail polish put on but this time I wanted something different and so I chose dark blue and the guy said awesome color. So after I filled up and he filled up he ask me if we could talk more ? I said yeah sure so we went to the parking lot of Sam’s club and we were talking about going barefoot and pedicures and get our toes painted. And he told me that he been going barefoot for a year and he asked me if I go barefoot in the snow I said he’ll yeah I do !!! He asked me if I bring flip flops to wear I told him that I haven’t worn shoes or socks in 33 years and he was amazed!! And he ask me why I got into going barefoot and I told him that I never like wearing socks or shoes even when I was younger I went barefoot every chance I got. And when I got to high school I went to class barefoot and I had teachers that let me go barefoot in class.. And I asked him what got him into going barefoot he said that he was always wanted to go barefoot but he was told that real men don’t go barefoot that’s for women.. I was like no everybody goes barefoot like at the beach, in the summer time, and people that do martial arts and MMA fighting , and yoga and gymnastics they all go barefoot!! But he told me his dad and his older brother said no man goes barefoot just because. I was like wow I told him I love my barefoot lifestyle and I would never change that and that their’s health benefits from going barefoot and that shoes hurt our feet and shoes causes damage to our toes and feet!!! He told he that he is starting to see that shoes and bad for our feet and that he is going to go barefoot more and he hopes to leave shoes forever. And then I told him that it’s really nice to see another barefoot person because I really don’t see people go barefoot in public anymore and I said it’s because our culture tells us that we need to wear shoes and bare feet is bad !! He said that he wishes people would let other people live the way they want to and I said I wish they same thing!!! Then I told him I have to go and he ask me for my number and I gave it to him and he said that he will call me soon . I said ok it would be nice to have someone that love to go barefoot and it would be nice to have someone that would go barefoot with me . And I told him that he had really nice bare feet and toes and he said the same thing back to me.. I hope I made a new barefoot friend that would be so nice and it would be awesome to have a barefoot friend to go places with and do barefoot things together. Will everybody keep barefooting.

Yesterday I went and got my monthly pedicure and the place was busy and as the girl showed me my chair I told her that I’m thinking about having my toes painted in a color. I usually get my toes painted in clear nail polish. But this time I was thinking about changing it as I was looking through all the colors they have there I hear someone say pick a good color and do bro !!! I looked over and their was a guy and his wife getting pedicures and I said I’m looking and so I pick out a dark blue. And as I was sitting down and I went their in bare feet. The guy goes wow you’re barefoot and I told him and his wife that I never wear socks or shoes and the girl that does my pedicure tells them that I come in barefoot and I never wear socks or shoes even in the winter time . And it snowed that night and they ground was wet but I’m use to it. And as we are getting our pedicures we talked about going barefoot and the health benefits of going barefoot. And then I saw the color that his wife was getting her toes done and then her husband was getting the same color hot pink. And I ask him if he gets people looking and saying things. And then we kept talking and they saw my color and both of them said wow you have gorgeous toes for a guy I said thanks and the guy had nice feet his wife had really nice feet . After that I went to Sam’s club and got a few things and then I had a hotdog and a drink and as I was sitting there eating a guy he must have been at least 60 years old ask me who did my toes and I looked at him and then at his feet he had his toe painted a red orange color and I told him snow flake nails solan and he said that’s where I get mine done . I said the do a awesome job with my feet and I told him I get a pedicure once a month and he said he does to and he his friends and there wife’s get pedicures their to . I said awesome and he said you must be a full time barefooter ? I said yes I am and I love it I love the barefoot lifestyle. And he said he does to but when it gets cold he wears sandals I said I understand. I don’t I’m barefoot all year around and I’m use to the every cold weather. We talked a little bit more then he said I love the color and your toe ring I said thanks and we both went our separate ways. Here’s a picture of my bare feet and painted toes.
