Like nothing I ever saw before. We have a bojum tree outside, Which looks as though it may have died. It's quite the strangest tree in town, Apparently built upside down! It sprouts from dry and sandy dirt With leaves just like a hula skirt. Of all weird plants (and I do know some), Not one is stranger than that Bojum! (My attempt at a fitting bit of poetry).
@Candy Gal They are a relative of the Ocatillo, and this is a PAINTING on the wall from the Hotel Mission Santa Maria in San Quintin. A MARVELOUS high class place overlooking a wonderful beach on the west coast of Baja, south of Ensendada quite a way. It is is the valley where all of Driscoll's berries are grown for export.
@Angelmama I am not sure, I could not read the signature. The folks at the hotel said it was purchased for the property back in the 1960s. There were many of this artists paintings to be seen on the walls.
