Whisper names and fall behind

Hopes for grace and peace of mind

Talking can be violent. Threats, intimidation and such. Propaganda too. The US knows all about those forms of violence, and knows that it works.

I agree.... Violence is sad.

So, what's your point?

Violence is not the answer to anything unless its your intention to be imprisoned or out right killed. By becoming violent you will just be giveing the powers that be the excuse they are waiting for to really come down on the people. NON violence is the way to go:2thumbsup:

Listen, if the A-Team can get a job done without hurting anyone, so can we!

“Becoming a dissident is not something that happens overnight.  You do not simply decide to become one.  It is a long chain of steps and acts.  And very often during this process, you do not really reflect upon what is happening...You don’t want to become involved with the dirt that is around you and one day, all of a sudden you wake up and realize that you are a dissident, that you are a human rights activist.” – Vaclav Havel, former Czech President (1993-2003) & activist

We are told to remember the idea, not the man, because a man can fail.  He can be caught.  He can be killed and forgotten.

But four hundred years later an idea can still change the world.

People have been talking for as long as there's been people.
And here we are.

People have been violent for as long as there's been people.
And here we are.

So what's the answer? I don't know. Still trying to figure out what the right questions are.

Violence is the only way to what? If you want to get killed then yes violence might be effective. But the greatest of changes will come from civil disobedience. Violence brings more suffering.

It depends on how you define violence, ex. blowing up something that is the source of violence such as a slaughter house is considered violence to society...

The only thing I can think of violence being the only answer to is when it comes to self-defense.

Violence isn't the best way to make a living; it's not the best way to find a lover; or have children. It's not the best way to be happy. It's not the best way to make a better world for tomorrow, sustain the environment, teach the youth.

I don't think you've thought this one out.
