I've seen every Walking Dead episode, and a significant amount of time has passed since the beginning of the apocalypse for all the characters. Even though it's been 4 seasons so far, I'd say it's been at least 2 years since the beginning... Anyway, if a zombie apocalypse did happen, how long would it actually last? Much of the human population would get wiped out, leaving the survivors to establish ways to fight and fend off the zombies. So wouldn't many of these zombies eventually starve off? How long can a zombie go without eating flesh? Also, these zombies are made of decaying flesh and bone, therefore the climate they inhabit will play a major factor. One cold winter could freeze all their cellular tissue to the point that it expands and breaks away. Then when they thaw out, all the cellular matter would have expanded due to the ice, and all their skin and limbs would fall off. A hot dry heat wave would also dry them all out.
ive always wondered why they werent surrounded by flies and maggots but then again..its just a tv show
I've seen nearly every zombie movie from Night of the Living Dead, to Return of the Living Dead, to The 2004 version of Dawn of the Dead (and every movie since) and most apocalypse scenario gives the zombies the upper-hand, but I disagree, with a heavily armed militia instructed to shoot at the head, we’d have the zombie problem under control within 6 months. With that said so much depends on the types of zombie, are we talking World War Z, The Crazies, Zombie Lake, Planet Terror, Land of the Dead, Day of the Dead, I Am Legend, type zombies? Some zombies are fast moving, some are slow, some zombies talk, some are almost indestructible…which version? Hotwater
Everyone has the idea to kill the zombies but no one wants to think about cleaning them up so they don't disease the place, which will happen. So what are we doing with a few billion rotting corpses? Reopen the crematories at Auschwitz? Lulz.
this. original night of the living dead zombies wouldn't last over the weekend (like in the original movie i suppose). return of the living dead style zombies that are basically just like normal humans except virtually indestructible would probably outlast humanity.
The undead. The unburied. Well, bury them. How though? They're still animated. When Hollywood hands over script rights to government and psychiatry, hahahah.
Yeah, Director Dan O’Bannon (who wrote the original screenplay for Alien) wanted his zombies in Return to be virtually indestructible and succeeded :cheers2: Hotwater
Even if the zombies decomposed fast there would still be plenty of humans to die off to make new fresh zombies after the freeze. That... And its just a tv show.
I haven't seen the show, but am a fan of zombie films. Worth a watch? Just finished watching Criminal Minds.
Walking dead season two sucks. One was really good. I hear they fixed it in season three. Is it four now?
Ok, will give the first season a bash I always liked the type of zombies in Brain Dead, they are not supposed to be able to run fast! That kinda unsettles me...
