Yeah I think they are. The ruling planets is really weird and sometimes doesn't make sense to me. Virgo is def. an earth sign though.

 

virgo is mutable earth, gemini is mutable air

 

Virgo and Gemini are extremely capable of getting along well, I know this from personal experience (a lot of my best friends are Gemini) but they also disagree and clash in a lot of areas (when Virgo's nitpicky side shows itself and when Gemini's freethinking side shows itself)

I will admit that we have a bad natural tendency to be difficult and critical, but you must remember that not all Virgos fall as far as others into this negative. Some can become so critical that they become wasteful with their degrading comments toward others and may end up being viewed as a jerk.

virgo is by far my favorite sign ever. my universal love for virgos is what made me think there has to be SOMETHING to this whole zodiac thing. honesty, loyal, stable, smart, full of integrity and the backbone to back it up. love the virgos, man.

 

people just don't think about them. they blend in, wherever, like rice.

 

I've only known one Aquarius... she's a bit bossy and dominant (just gotta outta prison) but she's really cool and motherly and mature for her age.

 

that's true. I love how Virgos are so independent and clever... very intelligent, just a bit too big headed about it... overall Virgos can be awesome people and total bitches at the same time.

 

I have a virgo father.

Even though he is extremely critical and often totally destroys me, he is really a foundation for me.

As with any sign, there is good and there is bad.

 

that's the only real problem I have with Virgos... very critical and sometimes outright mean, regardless of other people's feelings... my boss cusses out old ladies regularely (not that they don't deserve it, plus its funny) and its a wonder he isn't fired, only because he's such a hard worker, a typical Virgo...

 

wow you and I most certainly don't know any of the same virgos... my experience with them has been pretty much the exact opposite of every quality you posted. well ok most of them have been quite intelligent I'll give you that one. and I'm talking about people not on the boards here at least as a generalization.

 

every time i find a good man, someone to make a long term friendship with, they're virgo, without fail. maybe their strong sense of ethics makes it APPEAR as if they're backstabbing you, when they're following their conscience.

 

i am a virgo, but i don't think it suits me.
But i find myself disliking libras a great deal, so insensitive.

 

Yeah, I must say, I never thought of Virgos as people who would "stab you in the back"...

They are very upfront and tell you how it is. If you don't like it, that doesn't mean they stabbed you in the back. They are just brutally honest, and that's actually a trait I admire, although it can be difficult to take sometimes.
