Zendik got plenty of good PR, they even got good press on VH1. Doing shit like selling pristine WV land to sub-dividers to make some coin is what gets them bad press. While preaching about the Death-Kultur, what hypocrites.
Also you should know controlling the sexual functions of someone who lives amongst you is textbook cult behavoir and frankly anyone with any willpower wouldnt put up with it.
Only someone who wants to completely dominate your life would consider doing such a thing.

Dont mistake me for someone who is without a realistic mind. I know full well the torture many young people endure in the 'nuclear family'. Certainly the Zendik farm has helped some of these people up. However when asked for a fair description of the organization it would be unfair of me if I didnt give my true opinion. I live in Austin you see and I have first hand accounts of the group.

Just because some good has come out of the Zendik farm, this doesnt shield them from criticism.

I am free to question the methods of the Zendiks and what lies at the core of that group, service or control. However it is not for me to be dismissive or antagonistic to anyone.

How many years has Zendik existed? How many revolutions (aside for the one in your own mind) have they actually started?

Want to really know what Zendik is about. Zendik is about getting younger people to work to make Arol more money the next time she decides to sell off the land and move.

Yes I DO know that Arol and not Zendik owns the land. (the argument that it is because of taxes is bs)

Yes I DO know that she is setting Fawn up to take over after she dies. (long live the queen?)

From my experience it is not "Zendik" who weeds out people but Arol. (its good to be the queen!)

Wanna talk about weeding people out? Where is Shey, Chen, Bugzy, Aera, Kord and countless others who were there for years. I guess you get weeded out (even if you were there for years) unless you bow and scrape at Arol's feet. A least that was my observation and the observation of most of the ex zendiks I know.

How long before you are "weeded out"? I guess we will see what you have to say once you are.

Out of what must be by now thousands of people who attempted to live there, how many Zendik are there now? 30? 40? How can you say you are starting a cultural revolution that doesn't seem to work for 99.99% of the people. I am quite sure that Arol will not be able to judge the entire population herself, and where are you going to weed us all out to?

You can spout your propaganda all you like but the facts about Zendik speak for themselves...

 

Well, I spent a good part of my lunch hour reading the archive thread in amazement.

My experience with Zendik is limited and somewhat sentimental. I'd left home when I was 18 (1972) and moved in with my brother and his "old lady" who were renting a shack from Zendik in Perris, CA. We wern't members of the farm, as I say we just rented. It was a tiny place, and a few other cabins were for rent or considered "out buildings" maybe. The farm members though lived behind a tall wooden fence and I wasn't allowed in, and we didn't see them much. I don't know if I recall seeing one face that lived behind that fence. My brothers woman at the time was allowed back there though. We were at that place for one summer. There was a 2-3 story boulder on the land, with a HUGE purple Z painted on it. Being 18, and it being those times, I remember thinking how cool it all was. Even the sinks and tubs were painted purple.

I wrote to Zendik June 30, '06 asking if they had any pictures from the Perris farm. This is the reply I got:

Sorry about the late late reply. We keep meaning to keep up on the damn email and it keeps piling up. Yes there are photos, I believe. I'll try to scan a few some time and email them out to ya. I can't promise how quick I'll be about it, hehe. I've heard Arol mention that rock. She's the only one still around from that time. Wulf died in 1999. Most of the others from that era are scattered around the USA. Thanks for writing. Remind me about the photos if you don't hear from me within a couple weeks, hehe.

Does anyone know how Wulf Zendik died?
My intuition tells me Arol had something do with his death,
because she had the goal in mind to rule over Zendik from the start.

Have you all heard Wulf & Arol Zendik's music and the other art/music produced by the Zendiks. It's cold, heartless shit. It's not art!!! It doesn't come from the heart. It's all depressing and dreadful crap that takes your energy. The Z in zendik must stands for Zombies.

Just check out their website. It's all dark & gloomy shit.
An indication of how they are inside, DEAD of life.

You can tell just by looking at their website, how much negativity and darkness they all hold inside of themselves. It comes out in all of their creations!

Where is the positive message? Where is the hope? Where is the love?

 

I seem to remember someone telling me that Wolf died from cancer which is why they do not allow smoking on the farm anymore.

 

Arol's voice is of control, fear, and dominance. It's posessing to listen to so I can't listen to it without feeling lethargic. She clearly has issues. She should go see a shaman.

Really? Ok, How long did you stay at ZF and what is your name? You sound a lot like Zoe to me.

This guy either has never been to ZF or is one of the core members still living there. I can't imagine ONE person that has lived there that has anything good to say about the place. Aera is at Alpha Farm and I talked to her there and believe me buddy she had Nothing nice to say about her ordeal.

Bottome line is they advertise for people to copme there and live their art. Well bullshit and you know what, people may say I'm harsh or have little class talking about ZF but sorry I'm telling it just as they would tell you you're insignificant. I'm not sugar coating shit, sorry. Truth be known it's a great big huge scam of a lie sustained by Arol for Arol.

Look at their retention rate to find out. Any idiot would see that if thousands and thousands of people came there to live this great life in art then why oh why do sooooo many leave. Thirty plus years people and look how much their revolution has done for the world. Thirty plus years and look how many people they have kept. Put two and two together with ZF and you'll get a big fat zero.

I could care less really about your responsibility to save your own world as I have no isse with that at all. But you come in here talking like you know what's gone on at ZF in the past and come off like you have some kind of better knowledge than Us the people that actually lived there. Let me refresh your memory...

Just who do you think are the fucktards? You almost sound like the high and mighty Arol or something. Just how do you come to your personal observation? From reading posts or from living there? Let me tell you from my personal observations from living at ZF. Either you are part of the core or you are not and actually being part of that core doesn't mean you're immune from being trashed by Arol who is of course the ultimate being there. Non core members are like lost souls trying to be Arol like so what kind of freedom is that but of course if you had lived there for any amount of time you'd know this. One thing I did learn from my time there was, is, to be as truthful as possible when talking about ZF and there I will pull no punches, it's the truth way.

Personally I already was enlightened way beyond what ZF has to offer when I got there in the first place not to mention my skils and art were beyond any zendik at the farm then or now. Thing is they lie. They don't want your art or your music or your skills. They want your hard work and your ability to sell magazines and T-Shirts. Want to know how to really be accepted and free at ZF to be the artist they say you can be there? You have to totally transform yourself and be re born into what Arol wants plain and simple. So if you're Not an original thinker and you're Not an original artist you're clean out of luck. Of course there is always the chance you are found to be sexually appealing to the core members. How do you think Rev got where he is so fast, dude looks like a young Wulf or a young Chen and of course we know who his partner is.

There is no one that I know of that has lived at ZF that doesn't know what I have said to be true. So sure. If I were to be a real asshole and wanted to screw people over I would be telling everyone that ZF is a great place to find yourself and grow in your art and you should move there asap. Hell no. It's not. It's a small village ran by an old depressed hippy that thinks she knows the secret of the universe and is trying to set up her version of the third reich. While there are a few good people there it is over run with compitition and back stabbing while the core group could really care less if a newbie makes it past two weeks.

Zendik Farm or Zendik Arts is a lie. You will NOT get to express your art as it is not valid there, it is a product of this Death Culture and untill you have made a transformation that could last years you will not be an artist at Zendik Arts. You will be a farm hand working 12-14 hours a day although you will eat very well. While Arol may have the right to do what she sees fit at the farm she doesn't have any rights to offer what she does knowing that that is a lie.

Wulfs phylosophy is very flawed. A lie can be sustained. Zendik Arts is that lie.

All I can say that if people currently living at Zendik and representing Zendik post on the Internet they are morally obligated to IDENTIFY THEMSELVES as such. They don't have to use their real name or even their Zendik name but writing pretending to be impartial observers is a BIG LIE.

Zendik is exactly like Soviet Communism. You're told how great and important menial work is. All aspects of your life are controlled and dictated to you. You work all day and theres a spirit of unity.
However behind the curtain you soon realize that its a two-tier system, and all the talk of unity is a lie.
The 'party leaders' are busy getting rich off your labor, ferretting away money to secure their future while thinking nothing of yours. Getting their jollies wielding total power over you.

The only difference of course being that people living under Communism had no choice, the people living at Zendik farm can leave as they choose.

That reason is why Zendiks are so heavy into making the outside world seem like such a terrible, awful, place. Trust me at the end of the day work is work, you either make $10/hr doing the same type of work the Zendiks do on the outside or you get another mil in the bank for Arol and her bratty spawn.

To Duncan: work on a commune where there is true fellowship and purpose is much better than $10 an hour work for some stupid company that doesn't give a shit about you.

The problem with Zendik is that the leaders appear not to give a shit about anyone but their favorites.
