If you used zendik.net you would probably expose yourself to legal problems. However ex-zendik or something similar might be a different matter. A quick call to a lawyer would be a good idea so you don’t expose yourself to legal action for trademark infringement.

I don't think Zendik has or could trademark the word "Zendik" as it is an actual word. So using it in a web address should pose no problem.

I would have to agree with GH, "Zendik" is a word and I never heard of ZF trying to trademark it or anything but I could see them getting in an uproar about anything "zendik" that's not involved with them...

Postzendik.com is slowly coming back from hybernation. The site is back up, but the forum and the Zendik stories sections are not yet reactivated, so there's not much to look at yet. Check periodically as these sections will soon be up and running.

The old forum is now back up with all of the posts intact, which make for interesting reading, so come delve into the postzendik world at http://www.postzendik.com/

I became interested in Zendik, then when I emailed them I never heard a word back from them! How rude.

Man I've heard some horror stories about that place. Too bad, that place looks beautiful in the pictures.

Here's part of a review of a Zendik college talk from the Bard Observer,

"Biting our tongues, those of us who didn't sneak out were subjected to 45 minutes of verbal vomit."

a link to the full review
    http://observer.bard.edu/articles/opinions/220

Below is ad copy for the Zendik magazine taken from the Zendik website.

"The second in a series of "themed" magazines, "Ecolibrium" focusses on the social/political aspect of Zendik. Featuring hard hitting articles, essays, interviews and poetry by Wulf and Arol Zendik, focussing on the need, the way, and the hope for a better future on this planet."

Let's hope the Zendiks find the need and the way to improve their focus on spelling and proofreading, and then try for a bter futurr on this pwanet.
