Well who didn't see something like this coming? With all the full albums popping up and pay per view movies. It's not like people can't just download 3rd party applications and download and distribute them anyways. What a great idea youtube! Keep up the great work!

    :D

I feel the same about Monopoly, I wish it wasnt just one company that made that.

I stole that joke from some comedian

    On a more.serious note,

They had the chance to be the next TV 10 years ago, buf stuffed it up

All it would take now is someone like Netflix to say, ok you can also post your stupid cat videos here

Then they do to youtube what google did to MS.

I say Netflix like, becuase I forget who owns Netflix

But the evolution of the net, data speeds, the cloud.

Why even bother with someone elses server?

You back up the stuff on your phone to a cloud server anyway

A few years from now, data speeds a lot faster, backing up videos, everthing on your phone no problem. Why bother with youtube at all.

That is, your device linked to an ip address, and once a million people trying to download a vid from your phone isnt going to jam it. Then it wont be a youtube link it will be &dumbcatvideo.dumbcatvideoguy.whoeverkillsgoogle.phone
