For example, if I want to just listen to a video on Youtube instead of watch it, as soon as I go on another tab it stops the video. I'm on an iPad. Also, I'm using Youtube on a search engine. Not the app. How can I fix this issue? Can I fix it?
Orison once scolded me that it's "forum etiquette" to not reply to a thread you just made, that doesn't have any posts. I honestly think he just didn't like me at the time. He probably still doesn't, but that's not here or there. Point is, I can't wait anymore. I want to fix this issue, if possible.
I think you have to get the paid version With the free version on tablets and phones you can't let it run in the background while you do stuff on other programs. I have the same issue on my phone, when I'm driving I can't listen to music on YouTube with the screen turned off and I can't use my GPS. But some link always pops up..."wanna let youtube run in the background?get this version!" But I think its a subscription service
Sounds like the cause is the Ipad to me. Those are not a full PC right? So maybe it can only handle one window being open at a time.
It depends on what browser you're using. When I'm on Chrome, YouTube allows videos to play when I'm looking on a different tab. I don't get he same experience on other browsers.
I wemt and looked at YouTube on my phone - it requires a youtube red subscription to play in the background but that's through the app..so I dunno if its the same deal through the browser
It can run with multiple windows open, but when Youtube is involved... it does this thing of not playing in the background while on another tab.
Google Chrome is available on the iPad. It's the only way I can listen to YouTube while looking at something else in a different tab. And I don't even have to pay anything extra
Dang I'm sorry. It worked for me last time I used my iPad to listen to a video while surfing the net.
