Well, to be honest, it was just me spouting off my "in a perfect world" ideals. Because really, realistically, there wouldn't be any way to fairly regulate such a system. There's such a huge gray area, but it's a black and white world and so it's either all or nothing. And I don't believe it should be outlawed all together. I just think some people need to be more responsible with their bodies. It's just my opinion and I don't feel the need to enforce it on anyone with any laws.

Ever seen the two procedures done? They're far different. Getting ones tubes tied doesn't involve skull crushing as many abortions do.

There are fundamental differences that many of you are pretending don't exist.

The other reason for labeling it ABUSE of the system that is in place is because there is no logical reason for choosing abortion over birth control or for using abortion as a form of birth control. It's not cost effective. It's not as private. It's far more time consuming...etc.

All any of you have managed to do is tell me I'm wrong, but nobody can provide a legitimate reason why abortion is a good form of birth control other than, "If that's what people use it for, then that's what it is". Which is dumb. If people start using their car to run people down does that suddenly become what cars are for? No. It becomes a mass wave of car related CRIMES.

And WL, you're right. My comparison with the morphine was apples to oranges and I was thinking about that earlier. It would've been more appropriate to compare using abortion as birth control and handing out oxy-contin for headaches. Sure it works, but there are better solutions and both are an abuse of the system.

I'm against people being repeatedly excused for the same action when that action shows a blatant disregard for life. Again, I'm not saying whether a fetus is or isn't "alive". I don't care. It still shows that a person has no respect for human life in general. And in any other part of life that would not be tolerated, so why here?
