You ever notice the different mentality between rigid protestors of abortion, and those who leave it be. Attempts are made at bombing clinics, but no one ever bombs the protestors. Maybe they should? Nah.
have you guys seen idiocracy it so describes what you guys are talki8ng about damn that movie is funny
You didn't answer the primary question. Mak, what is the intended use of abortion? I read an article in the paper a few months ago about the outrage at the change in definition of "begging the question". It used to mean arguing for a conclusion which assumes the truth of the conclusion in the premise. Now it means something completely different. Next time you run into a pal ask hir what begging the question means. I bet you'll get an answer that is different from the intended usage of the phrase. all that begs the question of what makes a definition a definition. Popular usage, or tradition. i'm not going to disagree that intent matters, nor traditional usage. On a practical every day life level, it sure as hell does. If people are going to use abortion as 'birth control', then abortion is birth control. which is absurd because that is exactly what it was in the beginning. Except that apparently it was 'meant' to be used otherwise. You're comparing the use of a legitmate medical procedure to the abuse of drugs. Apples and oranges.
I honestly think 3 abortions might just scar you so you can't have any kids at all. I'm sure that wouldn't always be the case, but it just doesn't seem like the body would react well to producing 3 kids and getting it sucked out each time. I could be wrong. But I do agree, I knew a girl and her mother, and her mother got pregnant when we were pretty young and got an abortion and LAUGHED about it. I think that should've gotten her an automatic ticket for a hysterectomy.
ugh. problem is, i do know one woman who's suffered terrible problems with her pregnancies. she manged to have three healthy children, but she also had to have three abortions.
Well, there are always exceptions to every rule, and if it was for a medical reason, then that's a different story. But something's gotta be done with bimbos who just go in and get several abortions out of convenience.
i really don't see the racism connection. of course there are a lot of abortion clinics in the inner city. that's where there is the most unplanned pregnancy, and that's where the highest percentage of unplanned pregnancies don't have convenient access to personal transportation. even assuming the plan really was just to keep blacks from breeding, it still seems like it has generally positive effects in this case, and worked out similarly to if it were truly an altruistic concept...
That's the whole thing you punishy people. They are angry at their mom or dad and wanna take it out on everyone else.
Don't worry. I'm nutsy. Just a commentary about punishment for punishment's sake. Which is what tying someone up for having abortions would be. Incidentally, tying up someone's tubes will lead to the exact same end-result as having an abortion. Only it will take the possibility of having children later on away from women. Edit: AND men.
I met a girl in line at the used book store one year on campus who had 13 abortions. She was allergic to latex.
It doesn't impact me in any way, but it seems like such abuse of time these doctors could be using to do something else, like perhaps abortions for people who need them because their lives are at risk? I have zero problem with abortion (it's not a choice I'd make, but it's not my choice otherwise), but I have a huge problem with people abusing medical procedures. Anyway, I should've known better than to post in a thread like this. Sorry that I feel like the medical resources could be better used than to just scrape someone out any old time.
