You know, I must confess, sometimes I think I actually look kind of cute in the morning. I mean, I have no make up on so I look maybe 12 years old, and I always wear my hair in a big ponytail on top my head when I go to sleep and it looks all messy like in the morning, but in a nice way if that's possible. I probably don't make any sense, but then again, nothing unusual. ;)

I don't think you can do any better than describing how you feel when overewhelmed with love. A basic despcription would, for me, be just being with someone and feeling like your at peace and happiness with everything. Your not worried about your ego or any nonsense that usually goes on in a typical day.

I think love is an emotion.
You can't really describe an emotion,
because they are the things that describe how you feel, ya dig?
Love is love (as I say)...
You just can't reason and rationalize emotions.
    That'd be too computer-like.
It doesn't seem human to me.

    ...just ma own opinion.

my take is that you can't explain it.
you just godda feel it is all.

maybe it doesn't make much sense...
but thats basically it for me.

A lot of people think they're in love but there's a huge difference between love and infatuation. I thought I was in love several times before I actually really fell in love and realized I wasn't really in love at all before.

Love is something you feel when you can't describe it.

You don't know why you love someone. If there's a reason, it's not love. It's infatuation.

Love, real love, doesn't die, or fade. Affection does. Not love.

There's only a fine line between love and hate.

Love makes you a little blind and little crazy.

Love makes you experience emotions you might have never felt before.

You might surprisingly find a new side of yourself, when in love.

Love makes you happy, and it also makes you sad... love hurts.

Love is trust, understanding, passion, intimacy.

Love is a very big word that shouldn't be used without knowing what you're talking about.

You can tell someone you love them... and not even know what the fuck it means to be in love.

You're in love with someone because you can't stop thinking about them... because they mean the world to you... because you'd be devastated if you lost them... and not lost them as in they broke-up with you... LOST them, as in, it was as tho they were dead all of sudden...

Now you can love a lot of people. It means... like a lot. Don't use the l.o.v.e word like it's just any word though. Too many people say "I love you" and they don't mean it, or they mean it in a completely different way you would think, like... I like you a lot... or they just don't know what the fuck they're talking about... they're immature, childish, emotionless, dummies... what have you. Some people also say I love you meaning: "I need you". Get a fucking life. Some people say it in this overly dramatic way like they think they're in a movie or something. Some people say it so early they can't possibly mean it, unless it's their soulmate or something... which is rare... like love at first sight kinda thing. I believe in it... if you were in love in a past life.

sometimes, when dave does something silly, i giggle, and my heart swells a bit in my chest. then he flashes his perfect smile at me, and all is right with my world. he likes the way i laugh. few people do. only the people who love me like my laugh.

    Everyone has felt love, everyone has swimmed at the beach;
yet not everyone can write a good poem about swimming, feeling the sun on your face, or write an essay about what music can do to the soul...

I wanna see what trying can get in the area of the most mysterious feeling, that of love. I need to read explanations and not "it cannot be explained, only felt" cop-outs.

In a place like this, all we have is words, written words, and words can be an expression in itself. We are all born with intelects, but we grow in intelligence. One of the greatest achievements of intelligence is to articulate what we experience to others and even to ourselves.

To comunicate using words,is our capital, to expand the mind of others and to bring culture to the world at large. Why do books sell?

Anyone can say: "you just gotta feel it man!!" "it's beyond the mind", "it's a feeling, cannot be expressesd in words" but what does that communicate to me? It sounds like there's no effort being made to think. We are more than trees or animals, we are thinking beings, as well as feeling creatures.

What separates us from the animals that eat sleep, and have sex like us, is a sophisticated system of communication within our minds and valuable when trying to communicate ideas to others, and even to our own selves.

    Woow... that was harsh.
    Chill ouuut, man.
I think it's all about peace and love, here, ya dig?

    It was my opinion.
    Is that wrong?
    Do you think your opinions
    are better than anyone elses?
Even if you might not agree?
...Well, let me tell you something...
It was definatly not a "cop-out".
    (Just because I can't or don't explain,
doesn't mean I don't know what it is.
    Because I've felt love before..)
And I think it rude to think or write such a thing.
It's not "all about" explanations, man.
Truth is, some things in life you'll probably...
    never understand or explain.
    Besides...
Isn't the whole point of threads,
    to post our opinions?
I think there can't be failure in such a thing.

    Take a look at yourself...
is writing a 6 paragraph essay,
about how you think my opinion is "wrong"-
such a good thing to feel accomplished about?
    Personally, I don't...
    but..
    Think whatever you want.
I never said your opinions were "wrong".

-Layin back and relaxing over here.
    I'll remain peaceful.
    (maybe do the same,
if your'e so "High in Peace" like your signature)
    I for one,
won't waste good space on this thread to
go back and forth with you...
    [K]

PS: Take a look at Penny's post from before.
I think she has a similar opinion like me.
Does that mean she's "wrong", too???

Peace and love to you beautiful sister.
Try to understand where I'm coming from:

I meant no offense to you, and the post wasn't meant for you only, but I do have a chip on my shoulders about those who say the obvious, or refrain from giving more than a three word explanation, and for this reason I put on my first post:

"Quick three word thing wont do ("love is wonderful every time around")..if you can't explain, you can't understand it, and I'm looking for clear intelectual explanations"

Because I knew many would try to state the obvious. I could say:

"ya can't explain love man,,,you just dig into it"

"Love is too wonderful for words"

    "Love is love"

"Dive into love, and later with explanations"

"Love makes the world go round and the universe expand"

I could go on page after page saying sweet nothings, but that says absolutely nothing
as to what love is, and I know that once we know more about the thing the better we can be at it.

Right now we are playing it by ear and getting very hurt in the process. I have had many people tell me they love me, but can I take that to the bank?

I don't mean to sound cynical or cold, I am neither, yet the more we understand about our minds and about our emotions the better we can handle life.. most people know more about their cars and computers than about their emotions.

    Why? because no one says:

"The Pc is not to be understood, just go by your instincts".

Penny's explanation was very good btw.
I also remember a passage in Paul's epistles about love, and although some see only the poetry in it, and many memorize it, it is like a guideline as to what love is or should be for real.

    Hari:

    Ofcourse, my brother.

You are a very intellectual person.
    And I enjoy reading
what you have to say when you post...
Though I did read your first post in this thread,
    I guess I wasn't very mindful
    of what you expected.

    Yah, man...
It just felt like all that was aimed at me, yano?
I guess it would be a
    typical assumption from my view..
cus it wasn't stated otherwise, ya?
But, I can definatly see where
it could become frustrating or depressing after reading
not very thorough/well thought out opinions on the subject.
I didn't realize others had been doing the same thing,
and that it bothered you so much.

It's funny because I am usually one
who will write alot about my opinion,
which tends to be a great explanation afterwards.
(still sometimes it varies depending on the subject).

    Well...
It was still my opinion, anyway.
I'd like to still go by it if it's cool, ya dig?
All I ask is that you respect my opinion...
    and I'm all good.
Tho, I'm sorry that I didn't explain enough
to back up how I felt.
I'll be more mindful in the future.

    Thanks
Much Love and Peace to you
    [K]
