Me and my 1982 Mercury Capri at the 28th Street Cruise in Grand Rapids a couple years back. I bought it new and it's never seen a winter, it hardly even sees rain nowadays.
Sally bought a 55 chevy today, gonna post some picks in a while once I get them set up I had my hooks on a much older vehicle a while back but another buyer got in front of me and he ran with it. I just wanted a fun reliable old car and this one came up. Will see if I can find picks of my conversion vans I had in the past. Ha! That one didn't take as long as I thought it would. This is one pick, will get more on later. The green truck was an awesome rig I had a few years back, called it the bush truck because it was meant to go up the mountains up logging roads to the free camping sites around here. Some roads were so bad the locks on the doors and drawers would come open even when locked.
Wooow I love your automobiles!!! Especially the vans  They are gorgeous. Here's my baby! I love my car. Am definitely hoping to get a van to do up (probably not a kombi because they are so expensive lol) and go travelling around Australia once I've finished university. I adore hippie buses and kombi vans, I think people would call me obsessed.
Love The Bug, Love The Colour...:2thumbsup: Did You Remember To Put A Flower In The Vase....??? Cheers Glen.
Haha thanks Glen, me too! It came with a flower in the vase! you can kinda see the red by the steering wheel in the second pic.. Have taken out the "original" (to stop it fading) and replaced it with a cheap yellow tulip... Compliments the green very well I think :2thumbsup:
not a picture of my actual car, but it looks the same: Nothing exciting, but it was reasonably priced and is very fuel efficient. I've taken this thing on many long road-trips, and it has never given me any problems.
I don't quite understand the question, but I would be leaning more toward "Naturally Asperated Motor". It's automatic? The engine is in the front? So many ask if it's in the back. Eggsprog - effeciency and reliability are what I'd call the two most important aspects of a car :2thumbsup: Good choice. Looks good too.
You would have a label on the engine indicating its a turbo, basically a way that air pressure is increased in the engine compartment giving a higher output of effenciency with the same amount of applied force
MY WHEELS Shale B'day Bike November 8, 2008 In six years I have put an estimated 21,000 miles on this bike.
The 56 is BFs car, he took it from a run down bucket of rust and worked on it for the past five years, inside and out and it's almost done, just the roof lining inside and ready to ride. It's kinda funny because he worked real hard on his and I scored mine off his buddy for a great price, already done and ready to go. He teases how easy I got it but seriously he rebuilds cars and enjoys the work and rewards. Not me, I need it finished, haha. His is white with a royal metallic kind of blue so they should look cool booting down the road as his and her's for a car show. And to Shale, the guy who owned it took awesome care of it and restored some of what was needed, it's totally stock (except stereo is missing) and only one part of the drivers seat has a wear and tear spot, not sure if I will get that fixed or what yet. Smells nice inside tho. An original stereo is going in because the owner did remove the broken one and added a modern stereo in the glove compartment so it could be hidden. We got a stock stereo from a swap meet a couple weeks ago and BF was gonna install it in his car but now he wants to put it in mine with the one in the glove compartment still usable. As far as gas prices it's gonna be a weekend toy mostly, I have my business vehicle for running around that's pretty good on gas. And thanks for the cool comments guys,,, I love the color your 57 was painted in Shale. Do you still have it?
