A friend of mine had a gas powered dredge. We were vacuuming sand off the bottom of a river and found some decent sized nuggets. That’s the best way to do it. Otherwise shoveling dirt into a sluice will do the trick. You’re in KY right? Is there much gold deposits out there?

Algorithms and Data Structures for Computer Programming. I've implemented abstracted functions and methods in High Level Code for awhile (relative to learning the stuff) but learning the under the hood stuff is interesting.

I also find the way to represent data interesting, like Procedural Programming vs Object Oriented Programming or utilizing a function with side effects vs a pure function or lambda function

Ooh, I second crime rates, astrology, and naturalism. Crime maps and studying the personalities and cultures of different neighborhoods within the same city particularly interest me.

What do you like about ASMR? It’s so popular
but those chewing videos and most other ASMR stuff makes my skin crawl.

Spirituality is the biggest, because I consider the self-evident truth to speak louder than words, and to speak better for itself than I can.

The Future is another one I don't talk about too much, because its depressing and would only confuse people like the NSA.

Mother Nature and the Dragon are another one, because they're too weird to be believed, and almost nobody can comprehend what they say anyway. You have to study the Tao Te Ching for at least fifteen years to have the slightest grasp of what comes out of their mouths, and you can't even encounter them unless your karma is compatible.

She's a beauty! And, if you weren't scared of her, I would suggest never using her.

If you dont get asmr it probably just doesnt affect you. It's supposed to give you these really nice relaxing head tingles.
But the food stuff, I cant get down on either. The sound of someone eating makes me die a little inside.
My asmr triggers are just a soft spoken voice and light tapping sounds. And the sound of someone writing

I guess you're not that asmrtist then. But you do have a bottom half of the face doppelganger

cats, caves, computers, trains, forested mountains, and the aesthetics and environment of minimal form factor,
which includes houses, also preferably without rectangles, and the footprint of every sort of infrastructure.

and by cats i mean not just the species fellis, but all creatures capable of living independently that might occasionally choose to companion us,
but not in any depending on their doing so. and by forested mountains of course i mean habitat that not only can we enjoy living in,
but which makes a beautiful and pleasing place for creatures of all species to enjoy living in too.

there's more, but the first block of text is what requires no or little explanation.

anything i can use to create with is also on this list, every kind of tool and toy and material i can use with which to do so.
workbenches and shelving, and books that are stories about people figuring out things and how to do them.

the furst thrill in my life was seeing a tiny miniature train moving under its own power,
making the tiny signal lights change as it went, and reversing when it got to each end of the track, all by itself.
and this was in 1949 when i was only one year old, and most of the sophisticated technologies we take for granted today,
didn't exist yet, or at least, not outside of the lab and commonly or inexpensively available.
and my aesthetic and pleasure has pretty much been defined by that experience ever since.

None that I am aware of. I lived in Idaho for several years and knew of people who would pan for gold in the rivers as a hobby. Some friends and I were on a camping trip once and we ran into one of those guys. He was finding these little gold 'flakes'. He would keep them in those little black containers that 35mm camera film used to come in.

I into a pretty particular type of asmr. I started getting 'ming tingles' before i even knew what asmr was many years ago. I mostly get it when I watch people shop and look at products, idk why. I never watch the whole 'role playing' videos or anything where they pretend to do your makeup and stuff. But if I watch a video that gives me the mind tingles it can put me to sleep pretty fast! I love it. Funnily enough, a few days ago at work we were doing some boring training videos and I look over at my co worker who has the computer headphones on and he was watching asmr videos :grinning:

    Nice looking shop!
Band saws are great, just don't ever put your finger in front of the blade.

I think I see a jointer...much more dangerous. I know two people that lost fingers on one of those bad boys.

History - particularly certain British royal families and the events that occurred during their rule, in favourites being the Tudors and the Saxe Coburg's/Windsors.
    Cooking
    Gardening
    Books
Television - I'm a real binger of quality television.
    Travel
The art of managing money well also interests me a lot.

  20. I don't have any interests. I'm interested in spirituality, but a bunch of self-proclaimed gurus have that all covered. So you can have a nice, neat little package of spirituality along with your sugar and flour.

I'm interested in consciousness. But I don't have any interests.

No one cares what my interests are, and everyone knows everything, so why even bother.
