It's because some people apparently have severe problems interpreting what they read. But, thankfully, 75% of the people that responded got the gist of what I was saying, before having to explain myself three times.
Shit happends. The world doesn't care. Live life and don't look past. Even if you did lose your mom and dad at 8 or 9. Your life would still go on somehow.
What do you find dense about her opinion, it seems perfectly reasonable to me. People certainly care for more about their own than others - that doesn't mean they lack compasion for those who are going through hard times. It means they are normal.
and it is the same opinion that he expressed, which is likely why he regards posting it as a rebuttal an action of someone he considers dense. correct me if i am wrong, pressed rat.
True, but life is life. It can be hard. You just have to deal or die with the cards you are delt with.
i agree....but it makes you hard that way...believe me, i know...i have a brick fuckin wall around my heart cause of tragedy....but i dont bask in it...i deal then move on, but when you do that, do you really deal?
The reason I responded to Lynsey the way I did was primarily for the tone in which she responded to me, which was rude, arrogant and snotty. Nobody ever said anything about needing televised news footage to be grateful and think about the pain of others. All I was saying is that incidents like this help us to see how thankful we are to be healthy and alive, which I think most rational people would agree on. I also said it should never be used to devalue ones own pain and suffering. Some people have a problem with reading way too much into things.
I honestly don't feel as if i was snotty at all and even if it did give off that vibe, it certainly didn't justify your response.
is this really necessary to prove who is right and who is wrong...this is about people dying and remembering life isnt always as bad as we think it is....now you two are fighting over the same point...
alot of people died, alot of people are suffering, thats a given. So what, it doesnt affect you in any way your just being sensitive. with a 6 billion population, the world has enough people as is, if more people died it might lessen the bearden on us as a race, we dont have that much resources and were using up alot real fast.
