I didn’t care much for American Psycho. Even though all the film nerds I went to college with were obsessed with that movie.
The name Heavens gate reminded me of Enemy at the Gates, Ed what's his face and Jude Law, that's a highly underated movie Wha Wha What? Training Day? Seriously, Denzel is the man, that's a good movie Agreed on Dunkirk though that was a snoozefest
Massively overrated: The Godfather Trilogy - painfully bad films Apocalypse Now Scarface Reservoir Dogs massively underrated: Dazed and Confused Oscar Nero Wolfe
Breaking Bad did nothing for me.. I was into it a little bit but I never continued watching after Jesse took off in the car. No idea what season it was. I was so excited to sit and binge it but I didn't see what all the hype was about, personally.
I don't get why people become addicted to tv shows featuring characters in their 20s & 30s who behave like they are 14 years old and never grow up even though the show runs for years. BIG BANG THEORY is the same type show. So was TWO & A HALF MEN. Eventually or from the start all these type shows become an endless parade of juvenile sex jokes.
Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. I don't see the appeal of a kid's movie that involves killing kids.
Underrated: Single White Female 2. Maybe not a classic, but watchable. Scores 4/10 on IMDB. The idea that a restaurant is a goldmine is completely wrong. Single White Female 2: The Psycho (Video 2005) - IMDb
My wife and I stopped watching Breaking Bad because we both got bored. I enjoy The Godfather trilogy in it's entirety (even Part III) but I don't agree with a lot of people that the second one is the best. The first is simply classic in my eyes and blows Part II out of the water.
Not interested: Game of Thrones Reservoir Dogs Blues Brothers Harry Potter Lord of the Rings I love but no one else does: My Blue Heaven Not Another Teen Movie Fire Up! Romancing the Stone Sublime
Overrated: Jaws A cartoonishly large and absurdly homicidal shark (real sharks very rarely attack humans unless they confuse us with their natural food) randomly attacks hot girls in bikinis, prompting 3 dudes to go out and blow up shark. Roll credits. And this was rated the 56th BEST FILM OF THE LAST 100 YEARS by the AFI?? Underrated: EXORCIST 3 Overlooked as just another lame sequel to a lame sequel, this flick is a hidden gem. I mean GEORGE C SCOTT and BRAD DOURIF on the same screen? Incredibly acted, brilliant witty script, and with a really intense plot about friendship/revenge and a jaded policeman's loss of faith... I mean come on, this movie is gold. It also has the most terrifying scene of any horror flick I've ever watched (if you've seen it you know the one I'm talking about!!)
There's Something About Mary is the most overrated comedy film ever. Just a bunch of people acting very stupid, and it has an overreliance on sex jokes. Better comedy movies, like The Naked Gun: From the Files of Police Squad! literally craps all over it with its much more creative and astute storytelling, visual gags, and comedic timing. And the guys who did There's Something About Mary obviously didn't have Leslie Nielsen on board. Overall, I just wasn't feeling that one.
Dog Day Afternoon in retrospect is overrated. Pacino has a habit of overacting to such an extent he overshadows every other actor in the movie, and Charles Durning was trying his best to keep up with Pacino in the histrionics.
I just bought Sister Act 2. Thumbs down by the critics but I read there is a fan base for the film and I am part of it.
