Fuck cans/foilies...that shit is nasty. Alright, ima let you guys in on a secret. If you want to make the best ghetto bowl ever, all you need is a toilet paper tube and the little metal crimp that holds the eraser from a pencil. Just crimp one end of the eraser thing down, so that air can pass through but not weed (it should be completely flat, almost). Then, cut a small slit in the side of the tube towards the end. Stick in the pencil crimp, and voila - instant steam roller. If you're a heavy smoker you can probably cash it out in 1 good hit, but it will usually give you a few good ones. I would take that shit over a can or foily ANY DAY.

Very rarely do I find myself with bud but no piece. Usually it's the other way around. I've smoked out of apples a few times. One time, my friends and I didn't have any pipes, but we ended up making a gravity bong.

 

id have to say a soda can although it wasnt bad, and foilies aint bad either i used them a bunch when i first started smokin(when u feel so high not having a piece doesnt even come to mind, the weed is where the money goes.) um i smoked out of a water bottle plenty of times, milkjug, the little white papers around a stick of gum, never had a fruit pipe tho but they sound yummy.

ive only ever smoked from a glass bong once, and th next step down was a small metal pipe, but i barely ever use it any more, i just make use of the bowl for..

home made bongs

its what everyone smokes from here in sydney. a plastic bottle bong, or a joint, there aint much else floatin round on the scene. some people have actual bongs and designed pieces but i dont know any people who use them.

for stems though, its usually garden hose with a metal cone-piece. ive also used a hipflask funnel as a bowl, or chopped up aluminium can, and ive used a pen shaft with the metal bit as bowl.

- countless aluminum foil pipes
- paper from packs of gum, which I used as joint paper
- BIBLE paper, also used as rolling paper.
- those little socket wrench pieces (I think thats what they are), which I stole from my dad and used in homemade bongs.
- a BIG socket wrench piece with a thimble (full of holes made with a needle) stuck in one end as a bowl

I think that last one probably killed off some braincells, or stole some years from my life. I could taste the metal burning, tasted like sweaty, rotting scrotum.

 

I use those socket wrench pieces in all my homemades, they seem fine. Maybe it's because I only used a "real" pipe once and don't know any better. Still, it's just steel, nothing wrong with that.

 

I think the thimble was the problem, not the wrench piece.

I just purchased a $4 corncob pipe from walgreens. Thats probably the best option when you haven't got much cash.
