RED EARTH - CABAN - ca ban' - Earth. Caban lives in the spiritual realms. It is centered in the heart. It also initiates and births ideas but this sun also self-regulates, needing very little from the outside world. It has the ability to transduce information from the cosmos into a more accessible form. Caban is centered in the heart chakra and is the last water sun in the sacred calendar. Caban is ruled by Uranus. Caban is very mentally active, rationalizing, clever and practical. It is usually liberal and progressive and often controversial. Caban has strong convictions once it has anchored ideas. Caban's challenge is to hold one's life together according to a plan and to become more flexible and patient.

My tone has to do with defining and that's probably why I can't resist to correct and further explain a few things that have been said. No offense

The same "starsign" or kin appeares every 260 days. (13 tones x 20 signs = 260 kins = tzolkin)
It takes 52 years until the same kin appears on the same date (day/month).
That basically means that it takes 52 years until you have experienced all the different combinations between the tzolkin and the solar calender.

crummyrummy didn't post his poem (or affirmation as I call it), but seamonster did and from that you can conclude that he is an overtone world-bridger (the words empower, commanding, radiance are related to the overtone tone)
The poem/affirmation is made up from both, the energies of the sign and the tone and therefore tells you the exact kin of a person.

Sorry to burst the bubble, but it isn't extremely rare to share the kin with a person that isn't born on the same day, but rather common since, as I mentioned before, the same kin appeares every 260 days.

It is true that these four signs tell you something about how you relate to other people/signs, but they are actually foremost representing a part of who you are. They are aspects of your own being.
The guide is not mainly referring to a person who is very important in your life, but it is in fact a major driving force of how you live out your sign.
A dragon guided by the serpent is very different from a dragon guided by the moon for example.
The antipode is your challenge in life, the occult is an energy that is an unconscious/hidden driving force of your's and the analog is a compatible energy to your sign which influences your personality too.
As mentioned before these signs (mainly their colour) can also help you to understand how you relate to different people/signs.
Red and blue are challenging for each other, so are white and yellow.
Red and white are compatible as are blue and yellow.
Red and yellow are hidden to each other, so are white and blue.
People with the same colour as yourself are empowering energies.

Being born on a portal day doesn't really mean that one has more or less to do with the "end of time in 2012" than anybody else, but it has an effect on who you are and on your mission in this lifetime. People born on these days are supposed to have a lot of transformational work to do and are said to have a strong influence on others and the whole humanity (all the Beatles members where born on portal days for example ).
There is also a difference between being born on a portal day which is located on the right side of the tzolkin matrix, or one located on the left side, since these represent the breathing in and breathing out of the cosmic energies.

Although the dreamspell calender is relatively simple, it holds much information and it has helped me a lot to learn about myself.
Another thing that is interesting is to work out combined energies of two or more people and check up how that influences each individual. It is very helpful for understanding relationships and great fun too.
