Well I was a foot from him and didn’t get sprayed. I fed him sardines too. Ate them up. The white things in the grass is sardines. I also put the box over him and wasn’t sprayed. I am an animal whisperer. Lol
Usually injured animals are more vicious, I am a really calm person. He could have sprayed me but didn’t.
Nah, he ate and was moving, just hobbling. I just lifted the box and gave him a bowl of water. He is still there, alive, doesn’t take much to spray
They just picked up the skunk, he will go to the wild life centre and if he doesn’t have distemper they will fix the leg and release him into the wild.
My good deed of the day is following the instructions of the governor by self-quarantining and social distancing. Can't get infected by anyone or infect anyone if I'm positive (although if I am, asymptomatic, because I feel great) staying at home watching Children of the Damned (1964) on MeTV's Svengoolie
Coming back to HF with the intention that maybe I can be of some small service to some small number of actual people. Maybe someone can help me too...
lady balls! Lol. Thanks Barry. I was kind of upset that people walking by said they saw the skunk the day prior injured and did nothing to help him. I just don’t understand. But, guess he was meant to come to my place. welcome back black bill, I remember your name! Nice to see you back. I will try to be helpful if I can... . If you are an injured skunk or animal, humans are animals too, I am not afraid to help. .
i'm missing something. i see an innocent life form, is the skunk dead or something, and a box with improvised weights on top of it. sorry but the GOOD dead in the juxtipositioning of these immages eludes me. perhaps the box has a door on the other side i'm not seeing? mine of course is to remain isolated as many days as i can make supplies last and only going out to replenish them when needed.
Ok well I saw a skunk in front of where I live, in the middle of the day. I thought, that is odd. I took a photo with my ipad, and a short 9 second video. I noticed there was something wrong. I went over to take a look. He had a broken back leg and hair was missing on top of his head. He was trying to dig for food. So I ran in and got a can of sardines. I fed the wild skunk with my hands. Then I called the humane society who called the wild life center. The photo of the skunk is not zoomed in. He didn’t spray me. So I grabbed a box and covered him, gave him a bowl of water. I didn’t want him to hobble off and get hit by a car. It was windy that day so the bricks were to prevent the box from blowing away. He perked up some after I fed him for sure. It took two Two hours about for the wild life center to arrive approx. I stood guard like a mother hen. . Anyhow, they fixed him up and dropped him off where he was picked up. He is all better now. what I found disgusting is people who walked by saw the skunk the day before on another street and did nothing. I never got sprayed. . he was returned here about a weeks Or so ago, all fixed up.
that's wonderful. thanx for telling. i was curious. i could see he didn't look well but i couldn't figure out the thing with the box. now it all makes sense. we had a friendly family of skunks that would come around where i lived once upon a few years back.
