What was your first car and how old where you when you got it? We could also add our favorite car or vehicle This can include motor bikes as well. My first at 17/18 ish was my dark blue 71 thunderbird and it was a beauty. My fave of all is my crossfire but I need to sell it because there are too many in my yard and BF is moving in and will need a spot or two. Some vehicles are work related so have to keep them. My first motor bike was a bunch of pieces out of a box put together to practice on for a while then a silverwing with all the bits and luggage on it. I had it for seven years till my brother wanted to buy it.
Toyota Yaris Hatchback. Bought it 5.5 years ago, still have it. Just hit 150,000 km and it is going strong.
Ha! As funny as that was I had a pair similar, a darker leather but they were nice to slip on for walking especially.
My first car was an old banger of a Ford Fiesta, got it when I was 17/18, used to cut out going around corners, but hey, if I could learn to drive in that, I could drive anything!
I have always been into older muscle type cars with big engines, I see a thunderbird just like the one I had and I want it. It's a metallic burn orange kind of color with a black top but not really orange. It looks awesome in the sun and I see it every day in someone's yard when I do my runs. Man I want that car! BF says he wants to build me an older car from the 60s or fifties and that would be nice but I want that thunderbird, I don't even know what it is about them but for some reason they were sexy to me in that year. Older and newer I never cared for.
18, a 1997 Toyota Tercel. She got over a 850,000 kms (528,166 miles) on her when I gave her up. She would've kept going but I needed the money. Best goddamn car on the road.
A couple of my friends in high school drove Tercels, and those things really do last forever. Pretty sure the Tercel was replaced by the Echo which was replaced by the Yaris, so I kind of drive a Tercel as well.
I'm always amazed at Americans (seems an American thing to do, but I could be wrong ofcourse) knowing exactly what year their car was made and also mentioning it. I know my first car was an Opel Kadett, but I have no clue from what year it was. Over here, nobody tells the year it was build when you as what car they drive.
Exactly right. I have a good friend that owns a Yaris and I hear good things. The Echo, not so much. I replaced my old Tercel with another one
