I walked in to guitar center today and it was being remodled...Their were a whole new set of Danelectro guitar ...My God they were beautiful .Iam not sure if those are the right model but they come close to it..Sampled one
Mine would be the Davison Flying V...it's supposed to be an exact replica of a Gibson, but the one I have has the PERFECT sound for my music. It gives you a really smooth and calm feeling when you hear it, and it's perfect for the type of music that's relaxing and easy listening. It's also great for a 60's rock and roll sound, which I aim for a lot when recording.
Here 's a picture of my babies.................... from left to right fender tele blonde '69 (fitted with midi pickup) Gibson les paul gold top gibson explorer honey fender fretless jazz bass sunburst vintage cherry SG
For big rhythm guitar sound. A Gretsch Jet Firebird, I love Malcolm's though, cos it's just been completely stripped down to the minimum. For my playing though, it has to be this.
my favorite guitar is ANY guitar, because I just moved and left my instruments with my parents.. I am dying!!!! I went and played my little cousins junior nylon guitar at my aunt's house out of desperation
Shit man unlucky, I hate being without my axes, after a few days I find myself playing air guitar randomly without realising it lol.
I play bass. My favorite bass is the Rickenbacker 4003, which I own and is in my photo gallery. I also want an American Made Fender P-Bass and a 4 string Warwick Neck-Through Thumb bass.
Heres my strat, if I had the money then I would get it re fretted and put a single pickup by the bridge. Plus me playing the Garrison acoustic my Uncle lent to me- beautiful guitar with heaps of sustain. Fuck I love it. My next guitar will probably be the epiphone Deluxe Rivera Jorma signature. Just because I love Jorma :sunny:
i ordered a Martin accoustic off the net and that's not what was sent . they gave me one from Vietnam . it's better than i could've hallucinated . there's all kind of love and forgiveness and respect in it . the neck is profusely inlaid with birds . recently i've cut some blanks for a new nut and bridge from a buffalo leg bone . when i get them filed down to the proper size i'll take the guitar to the local pro for setting the action . the day i opened that package and saw that guitar i had the weirdest angry feeling ever . so what .
If I paid for a Martin guitar (which usually costs over $3,000) and got anything but a fucking Martin guitar, I would be pissed off and probably file a criminal investigation over it.
i didn't pay much and it was cash since the electronic money thing is too screwy and to hell with Martin prestige . all i wanted was a beautiful old man guitar n' that's what was given - of golden tuners and flying birds - spiritually content .
A Godin G4000 in blueburst with a rosewood fretboard. Locking sperzel machine heads, floating trem, fastest, most comfortable neck I've ever played in my life, and it was perfectly balanced. You could leave it sit on your knee without even holding on to it. It played and sounded so great. I could have bought it for $350 but I didn't because I was young and caught up on looks, rather than feel and sound. I've never found another guitar that played like that. I couldn't find a rosewood necked one, but this is the same guitar My second favorite was a 1987 Ibanez RG560 in black. Ultra thin Wizard neck, floyd rose. The pickups sounded thin and shitty but the guitar was old and worn in so it felt great. Unfortunately I lost it and have yet to find another. They're getting more and more rare.
^My dad has and loves that Ibanez with the FR Trem. I like the other guitar too. It's all about the neck, i'm telling ya!
It really is, the neck makes or breaks a guitar for me. Uncomfortable neck, instant deal breaker. I hate tele necks because they're too deep. They fill up my hand. Althought the second best neck I ever played was an 80s American tele neck. It had a medium v shape and sharp edges rather than today's hand rolled edges. It played like butter.
I recently bought a Fender Stratacoustic. I got a really good deal on it and it is new. I got if for the fact that I am a woman and have very small hands and it's very difficult for me to play most bar chords and other stuff. This guitar has the neck of a fender strat, with a very slim body and double cut away. When I first got it it sounded ok, but then I bought some elixir strings for it and the bitch sounds so sweet. It's a great guitar to just pick up and take anywhere with you and is very versatile. When plugged into an amp with distortion I can tweak it to sound just like an electric guitar. I think it's a great buy for the price.
I love Ibanez electric guitars and basses. They are cheap and durable. A few years back I ran into an old 80's Ibanez the body was in awesome condition with the exception of the belt buckle scrathes on the back, but the previous owner updated all of the pickups with Seymore Duncan pickups and skull volume and tone nobs....I love it. It looks very similar to this one
