If I didn't say so, Ray Bradbury is cool.

I got a couple of books from my uncle one year. It was Jack London; who is also impossibly cool, and Ray Bradbury. Maybe I'm just being nostalgic, but looking back they seem really cool. What an awesome gift from my uncle. Great uncle actually; he was my dad's uncle, and he died years and years ago. I remember those books, and how at the time I resented being saddled with the task of reading them to entertain my uncle. I know I read Bradbury. Not sure if I got through "White Fang" or "Call of the Wild"... I am pretty sure it was "Call of the Wild". I should have kept those books.

 

Used to read Piers Anthony quite a bit, my taste for fiction has waned greatly down to practically nil

 

I still love his work, but I haven't read any of the Xanth series in at least 10 years.

 

That's a tough call. It's a toss up for me between Brandon Sanderson and Brent Weeks. There are so many other really good authors though.
