neighbor dropped off 3 egg incubators complete with digital controls and automatic egg turners....tomorrow i will start the first set and in 21 days we will have some live baby chicks for the dogs

My deepest condolences to y'all, Ty and Dice.

There had to be any number of deaths of "outside family" through my years growing up but I never remember but one - when my father died. I was almost 5 yrs old.

I remember when Mama sat me down and told me Daddy wouldn't be coming home and that he went to heaven. I wasn't dumb really, even then...because I knew just what she was telling me. I put my head in her lap and cried.

Much strength for you and Specs the coming time, Ty! To Dice too naturally Time does make things better after awhile, i just am experiencing it myself. Not with the loss of a parent or even a human, but its the loss of a family member regardless. It sucks any way!

I agree with you there. "I am sorry for your loss" always feels very insufficient, even though I always mean it with my whole heart. There really are no appropriate words. Sorry to hear this, you two.
