my last set of dreads, my biggest mistake was buying a tam from knottyboy. it was shitty and it fell apart, so i learned to make my own.

this set, im completely satisfied with...the natties are coming along great, though maybe i could have started neglecting when my hair was shorter, not really a mistake though

my biggest mistake was before doing dreads. i cut my hair alittle here and there to thin it out, and when i did my dreads the first time were like 5 areas on my head with short hair. looked horrible...

    oh, and i almost forgot

this will probably piss a few die hards off, but i am convinced that a little wax after first backcoming REALLY healped my dreads from falling apart and gave them time to slowly tighenen up on their own over the first couple months as the wax was washed out. I KNOW. THEY CANT TIGHTEN WITH WAX IN EM'.... but it is not about applying globs of wax. the important time is when there is enough in there to keep em' from becoming loose, but not so little that they DO.

BIG MISTAKE #2: fucking velcro on the sleeping bag in the pitch dark freezing cold night of camping.
