I totally agree about there being good and not so good parents in every age group; age not being a determining factor in their parenting skills.
The average age for a first time mother in the U.S. is 25, so I'm comparing it to that.

It's easy to say something is "bullshit" while criticising that which you know very little about.

But just go back to sleep. The government loves you and so do the big pharmaceutical companies.

Take this shite to the parenting forum where it belongs. This is not a random thought, it's an insult to anyone who had a child young.

I don't personally see the original question (post) as an insult as anyone that has a young child... just more an observation- that's not like the OP was criticising.

zoomie, by your reasoning on the OP, wouldnt that be considered as trolling??

I don't like when young parents view their babies as live dolls and pierce their ears etc.

Personally, i was not ready, if someone really is or gets ready in a hurry, fine by me....if not, they should give the baby up for adoption

Being informed and having the facts is not paranoia, pal. Paranoia is unfounded fear. If you believed the ghost of a dead hamster wanted to eat your brain, that's paranoia.

in some cases live viruses are good for children that's how we initiate our immune response... that would be obvious if you knew anything about vaccines

perhaps in the past there have been fuck ups where companes put "mercury" in their vaccines, im not sayin git didnt happen, but these days people know what should and should not be in a vaccine. it is impossible to make a vaccine that will be unharmful to everyone as there are billions of people and everyone reacts differently. the goal is to create something good for the 99% majority. also vaccines dont have to be live, they can be killed, or even a subset of RNA taken from the original virus which has absolutely no chance to reinfect the patient as it in not pathogenic as just a few pieces of RNA. AND live vaccines are attenuated, there are no existing vaccines that are simply the active disease in a needle, that's just infection, not vaccination.

Sure check whats in the needle before you give your kids a vaccination, find out what type of vaccine it is, the attenuated live ones have the highest risk so if you're worried only get the recombinant vaccines, a good vaccine should just have protein serum or something similar as its medium.

there are cases where one person has had a horrible reaction to a vaccine and some people have died. but we are talking about a few people in billions of people, so its up to you what risk you want to take. without vaccines people would still be dying today of diseases which used to be epidemic back in the day such as, diptheria and tetanus. the real problem is people who refuse to take vaccines and then contract those types of diseases and stop the population from being able to eradicate the disease completely.

before you critise my amount of knowledge on the subject remember that you actually don't have the grounding to do that since you know nothing of my upbringing. and im already sick of talking about this cos ive heard pressed rats posts on this before and you talk endlessly about being brainwashed when you yourself cannot even acknowledge the good in vaccines.

In fact the USA is the only developed nation (and possibley the ONLY country in the world) to use live viruses.

I work at a daycare. I never really punish the kids unless they hurt (hit) each other or take/grab things from each other. Otherwise I like to let them have free roam because what they end up doing never usually ends up hurting anyone. I tend to see children usually making good choices and just have fun playing alongside them and encouraging them. Usually the head teacher will step in and yell at them if anything, which sucks. The other day a four year old kid was telling me about UFOs and Jupiter during nap and the teacher told him to be quiet! I'm all for nap, I wish I had that option, but if the kid is resting and chilling, who cares if he is whispering a little! I do think they can be restricted by the teachers, but I think these kids are luckier than most, as the teachers I work with value uniqueness and creativity. Just the other day we went on a walk to see the "giants". haha.

But most countries allow for longer maternity leave guarnteed to all mothers and some fathers. It is usually longer and sometimes can be used for pre birth too. Many countries give allowance to mothers. Yes, many of the social programs will put a strain on countries (ahem sweden) but most countries seem to value kids a little more. Though the allowance for kids could be picked up by uninformed teens who get knocked up, which I sometimes disagree with.

There is a reason the USA has one of the highest infant mortality rates in the developed world, socially, quite simply, we suck! How did it take us until the mid 90s to have maternal leave for new mothers> and still, not everyone is guanteed.

I agree with this statement, my childhood was special because my mom there with me for the greater part of each day. However, the majority of women need to work and they want the best of both worlds and I suppose they're entitled to it. I don't want to be a mom, personally couldn't handle the stress of it. I'd hate not working at all outside of my home, maybe it's because my job is artisiticAnyway, ..Bless all the good moms out there, young, old, working, and stay-at -home!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
