I'm not going to bother with this link Shane. I've read people's opinions on this and I disagree with it. Plain and simple, my opinion. There are no facts concerning parenting. Everything ultimately comes down to individual situations. Why was my ex-girlfriend a dead beat mother by the way? I'm just curious, as according to you, there must be a societal REASON for it.
Have we met? Anyhoo, I said that to let you know I done. Any man that believes abortion should nullify child support isn't worth me debating with So have fun but I am not wasting anymore of my time
Shane-it is men like you who give men a bad name. My mo mnever recieved child support and never fought for it. She was married for 2 years so I don't think she was 'looking for a meal ticket' when my Dad wrote a letter saying he delibratley left the country so he wouldn't have to pay/ Men need to think about the implications before they take their dicks out.
once again, im not talking about individual cases. anybody can come up w/an example. im talking about major changes in our society and how its results affect our society.
and feminism has actually made it harder for women on some ends and easier on others. At least if it was 50 years ago I would know why I was discriminated against, now I just have to pretend to be blind to the fact that one of my bosses has way less education and experience than me. Yeah it fucking sucks.
Again: TWO TO TANGO! and no offense but your dad sounds like a dumbass who does not represent an entire gender!
dhs, if you are so set in your ways that you won't even hear the other side out, why are you here? We read your posts, even though we disagree, and if you had given a link we would have checked it out. I can't speak for the others, but if you had provided any evidence that feminim has not had an impact on families I would change my mind. Seriously, it's rude to come stomping in here demanding we adopt your opinions without even listening to ours.
You guys are disagreeing with dhs because if you say that he is right it means you are a hypocrite and have to be a better man. Men like you shane are lazy and don't want to do all that is required to be a decent guy so you attract people that reinforce your thoughts.
Jesus, I disagree - plain and simple. Believe what you want, I could care less if you agree with me. If you feel that feminism is some problem that is affecting families - then don't allow to affect your own. Change always begins with the individual.
From what he has said here and otherwise, Shane seems to be a good father and husband. I'm sure he would be happy to tell you all about his new baby were you to ask, but instead you just assume that because he has an opinion you disagree with he must be a horrible chauvanist pig. That isn't very fair, is it? Why don't you step down from the pulpit for a minute and try listening.
Actually, i work a full time job to support my infant son and his mother who i love deeply. except for feminism and abortion i consider myself a liberal guy...
never once did I say anything that would suggest that I think Shane is a chauvanist pig. All I have said is that it is my OPINION that I think its a pretty ridiculous statement to suggest that feminism is a large factor in dead beat fathers. Blaming dead beat fathers on women in society is a thought that I will never subsribe too. I'm not going to step down from the pulpit, because I'm not up there - I just disagree with you and for that you come up with some ridiculous assertation as to what I think of shane as a person. real intelligent of you
FUCK YOU! I am not a hypocite! I take all the neccesary precautions to avoid having a child out of wedlock, and if an accident were to occur I would marry the mother, or if it were impossible for me to live with her I would support the child, financially and emotionally, to the best of my ability. I made that pretty clear earlier, I take 50% responsibility for the fruit of my loins. (the mama would take the other 50%) Try listening to people before you start slingin' insults.
