Yeah I was kinda thinkin that too. The whole "you white people" thing feels racist to me. If I would have heard that it would have crossed my mind that possibly he is used to and prefers it when white people are afraid of black people. I have personally run into this more than once. Just a possibility though he could have just been off his damn rocker too.
Well...I know lots of minorities from many different cultures who were told to not trust white people. (Especially if their parents came from another country as adults) So, if he was new to CA and grew up in a mostly black environment where white people didn't really come up to him. I can see that. Also maybe he was one of the new black panthers who want a separate country for blacks or whatever it is that they want. They don't want to be friendly or communicate with white people...frankly this is a good old mystery. None of us will ever know, unless she meets the guy again and asks.
omg what? You're from SD too ? So many San Diegans its awesome!!! I lived in Cardiff for forever (Im from Pt Loma) but I also lived in Carlsbad for a couple years. I love north county coastal. Ok, if you pass Solana Beach, you have to stop by Rudy's Taco shop. Its on Stevens Avenue between Lomas and Nardo right after Academy. I promise you have never had better carne asada fries or salsa.
I'm vegetarian, but I've been to Rudy's and had their veggie burritos, I love their salsa! There's a La Costa location too.
omg so you can't partake in the carne.. ok but at least you know how amazing they are. I send people there all the time. The Solana location is original babe, so thats where my heart is. haha. Plus I worked in the big buildings a couple doors down so it's my stomping ground. If you ever want a romantic date, go to Poseidon! Sexiest place on earth. I believe its the only restaurant on in California that is actually situated on sand, like directly on sand with ocean access. They don't mind if you walk in and out. That or Beach House on 101 across from Kai's in Cardiff. The view will knock you out.
You know I've never really spent time in Solana but I love the little sign when you enter! LOL I need to remedy that. Thanks for the restaurant recommendations. The google pics look awesome.
