new details will never stop being discovered because the universe is really really big, and will still be growing when humans are no more. but all of these details will continue to be of only three sorts, some things happening more often then others, some things happening more often when other things happen first, and the unknown being unknown. i know that humans bullshitting each other is a thing that exists, but that rocks and trees and galaxies, are infinitely more sustainably reliable.
what we can do about it is to stop criticizing people as "being lazy" for not actively contributing to what is popularly and socially considered to be useful work. and not criticizing people who devote their life to creative endeavors indifferent to the flow of little green pieces of paper. there is probably a majority of the population who earn their incomes by the paper (and now data, that having at least partially replaced paper) equivelant of that old military joke, about digging the same hole and burring it back up again repeatedly and continually.
