As far as stevie ray vaughan and albert king sounding guitarists go, people really underestimate John Mayer as a musician. ... most people have never heard him do Jimi Hendrix or SRV covers... but you really should buy the Crossroads Guitar Festival DVD if you haven't seen it already. Pretty much every one of my favorites, as far as jazz and blues goes, (that is still living) is on there. But, John Mayer sounds softer and smoother than srv or albert king did... he kinda sounds like he's always playing "lenny"
Actually I saw it on PBS. I saw John Mayor, I thought he was pretty good. I still don't like his music though, but I do respect him as a musician. Plus he's hot
hahahah... I know. I think that all the time. It scares me because it's off the charts. I mean, Eric Clapton is about an 8 as far as expressions go... John Mayer is near a 10... Howard Dean is about a 15.
