Most people I know with mental illness do smoke pot. Personaly I think it can make it worse as cannibis can be quite sychotic!

 

I think you mean psychoactive. There are certain forms of mental illness that could be helped with marijuana, other forms where it would be a detriment. So much good stuff. I love it was all about phlisophy and sprituality, rather then the superfical because I agree that it is not imprortant. I can feel the diffrence between the material and the spritual. I also think hippies understand the diffrence between the fake happiness of the material and the pure joy of a healthy mind body and spirit.

I guess I just don't understand what being a hippy is to your generation. Then again, your generation never had a true status quo. Your generation never dealt with being drafted into an unpopular war. Your generation never dealt with a population that was so conservative that officially pre-marital sex was a scandal (and therefore everyone was dirty for doing it anyway), and believed that America could do no wrong (a belief that enabled America to do all kinds of wrong). The President of the United States never waged war on your generation, and you never had college students attacked and killed by the National Guard.

But anyone in your generation who wants to embody the ideals that came out of all that---they are all right by me.
