That's a good idea honestly. You would not want to blow it all at the horse races in one day would you?
That's good. I once lost 1500 dollars in Vegas in 5 hours. I was sick for days. I haven't done it since. That was about eight years ago
Just after college I started working for myself. Anyway, a deal appeared on the table that promised to net me about 1m usd, paid over installments, with some associated stuff running parallel. For me, it was quite a big thing. Unfortunately, the 1m deal collapsed quite late in the day. However, it was close enough for me to take a moment to decide how I would deal with it. I've always thought of the saying "easy come, easy go". I'd seen others in this sector make large sums apparently "easily", and then lose them just as fast. So I thought, another second car ie one that wouldn't depreciate, sort of a "best car" ie not every day. I wondered about a new apartment, but decided against it because they can be a pain to sell, and I wasn't totally sure as to where I'd be living. I thought about a 2nd home ie an apartment in Marbella or an offshore centre. But again, the same arguments presented themselves. A few k on furniture, pictures and the stuff I could keep for decades. But overwhelmingly, I just wanted to lock in some sort of investment income. So I wouldn't need to work and I could spend time writing or on creative interests, if I fancied taking some time out. Plus I was seeing investment as some sort of parallel career anyway. Anyway, I don't really gamble. Maybe I'm boring hahaha!
buy a piece of land, on which anyone who is considerate of everyone else, may build some kind of small micro-house or reasonably tidy and considerate campsite. it will probably be a very long way away from anyplace people who want to party would want to be a lot closer to. i would prefer forest, but it may very well be high desert. it will almost certainly be mountainous as well. there will not be any roads for cars beyond one parking structures near the entry point. i don't know how far a million will go these days. not near as far as it once did or sounds like it ought to. even an ordinary house with a little tiny lot around it any more costs a quarter of that anymore, and isn't what i want anyway. i have many interests that would soon consume most or all of it if i wasn't careful. most, if not all of which, would be at least some part of it. at any rate the piece of land would have to come first, in order to have a place for everything else that needed one. and then it would all depend on what would be left over after securing the land. which might not be more then enough to camp on it myself. a million any more, just isn't really all that much. its just way more then i'm expecting ever to have my hands on at any one time in what remains of my life.
Prostitutes/escorts. The latter is too much work. The only real reason for dating is to get laid anyway.
You don't like the idea of a female companion/significant other and you never went on a date with the possibility of getting one in the back of your head?
"I'll tell you what I'd do, man: two chicks at the same time, man." maybe someone will know what this means.....
I'd use half of it to buy Bitcoin and hide the private keys for the wallet on a usb flash drive. then I'd bury the flash drive in the ground somewhere inside of a durable watertight box. this way the money could never get seized by the government, and if done correctly there would be no way of them even knowing that I have it.
"Damn straight. I always wanted to do that, man. And I think if I were a millionaire I could hook that up, too; 'cause chicks dig dudes with money."
You don't need a million to do that, But then again the chicks that would do you would! Or you can invent the 'jump to conclusions' mat game you HAVE always wanted too! Hookers and blow FTW!
