On the contrary thedope, I feel that I'm terribly anachronistic. What is that saying about being ahead of your time? The 'father' of electronic music said it: "Contrary to general belief, an artist is never ahead of his time but most people are far behind theirs. I was the first composer to explore, so to speak, musical outer space." - Edgard Varèse
You misunderstand me, you lament your progress as though you know already what progress is. I on the other hand, have nail fungus.
I may have, although I did anticipate that possibility as I typed my response. I was daydreaming of a sepia toned 1940's summer afternoon in the city.
I'd try searching for a photo, but I worry it will detract from the quality of the image I have in mind!
So you are ahead of your time? More like it but memory is living tissue. Are you going to play with yourself or discuss things. Have I worn you out already or have spent yourself before the communing climax? We are way to permisive of mind wandering to pay attention
Yes, equally so! Lol, I'm spent until my workload relents. With aptitude comes aberration; remember the lower intensity threshold? Mine is invasive.
I dig it. My light is on if ever you find the world too dim? I am kind of a white bread guy although to look at me, well lets keep the feeble in suspense.
Yes, it's a common feeling these days. In America, you hear a lot of people saying "The American Dream is dead." Nothing seems to work well anymore. I've been working as an engineer all my life and as the result of three bad economic crashes, I have almost nothing to show for it. I won't be able to retire for a long, long time. Kids go to college to improve their lives and end up with $150,000 of student loans. Meanwhile, all the benefits of our economy go to the top 1%. They are living it up, complaining about taxes on their luxury jets, voting Republican so they can continue screwing the rest of us. It doesn't have to be like this, but people have to start getting more angry about economic injustice.
Perhaps common sentiment is not sufficient to speed things along. We are never upset for the reason we think, never upset for fact but for the interpretation of fact. Our innovations are many times eureka moments. Our lives are metabolic process attended with abstract association. To hope for critical mass is just a mass of critique.
