that might make sense if the water always felt like my skin was soapy. But if I rinse long enough it feels like the soap is gone....I assume the minerals would still be in the water though.

AFAIK water that is very soft seems to, well take forever to wash the soap away. This is because hard water, with lots of minerals bind up some of the soap molecules, which really makes the soap less effective. AFAIK this is why washing soda makes laundry detergent more effective (and you can use less) because it sort of acts like a water softener. It seems counterintuitive, with sodium carbonate being somewhat of a mineral itself, but iirc it has to do with the sodium atoms in Na2CO3 replacing heavier atoms like calcium and magnesium. Also, sodium salts are water soluble, while carbonate salts of divalent alkali metals like magnesium and sodium have very poor water solubility and cause soap scum and the like.

He's still kicking around so I'm not worried. Just going to keep doing what I have been doing because what I've been doing seems to be doing pretty well. =p

    Bridge
    Ices before

It's plenty cold enough for ice, but dry and clear.

yes bridges freeze before roads because the air around it .. some bridges here have automatic brine wash when the weather calls for it.

I remember when I was driving through South Carolina id always see those signs and I couldn't work it out. You know how some road sign you read upside down, or from bottom to top? But then others are read normally? And I remember trying to work out is there a patch of ice before the bridge? :D or does the bridge ice completely?

Anyhow I saw a picture of a frozen spillway in Karen's gallery and it reminded me to post it. =p

Now another road sign in Virginia I remember it reading something like "speeds recorded by flying plane" or something similar suggesting that traffic was controlled by airborne police but we never saw anything like that.

those airplane spotter signs are probably 20yrs old. its something they use to do commonly, but nowadays not so much .. there are a couple Ive seen here in my state.. Its just funny, like many stretches of secluded roadway, once you know it, you can pretty much set your own speed and fly if you want to..
