That really is something else...and about Dr. Bradsheet...It isn't completely unheard of, but it is very rare for a man to shoot himself in the chest Right At a river. I wonder how they decided to call that a suicide. If someone is found in a river (which was said in that last article) the gun would not/could not be near them, right? Or am I missing something? Because without the gun being placed right at his hands, and someone being shot in the chest - ruling the death a suicide is a pretty far stretch.

It appears that Big Pharma (and them taking a hit because of each of these fine doctors) is the common denominator. No doubt Big Pharma is contributing mightily to stop decriminalization of weed. FOR SURE they would go to lengths I can't (don't want to) imagine to stop legalizing medical marijuana all over the US.

    Big Pharma is scary.

No offense to anyone interested in suicide or attempted suicide or thinks about suicide buuuuut, Irminsul logic would summarize shooting yourself in the chest to be an absolute disaster of a way to suicide. you aren't even guaranteed to die....

yeah...I want to LOL but since we're talking about suicide here I really should not...but dang.

that's exactly right. You could miss just a hair and eventually bleed to death. But as far as shooting yourself and ending it quickly, a shot to the chest area could be the opposite of a quick end.

Truth - 33 yrs ago I knew this couple. The woman was a good friend of mine. The guy shot his wife in the chest and she was dead quick, bam! When found, she had a spot of blood on her hand where it looked like she reached up and touched the wound and then she was gone. Her face registered surprise. The husband (sob) thought he would shoot himself in the chest too - I guess. He didn't get it quite right, and shot himself in the gut. Oh, he died - eventually. The coroner placed about 8 hours difference in their deaths.

He did this in her car...he was in the passenger seat. I can't believe I can't remember this part - but I think he used a shotgun, and he used his foot to take himself out. For some reason, I think it was sawed off some but not all the way, like most people think of sawed offs being.

    anyway...

Dr. Bradsheet's family is questioning the whole suicide thing, as well they should.

Hell a doctor could get hold of some good stuff and go out easy.

woke up with a horrible hangover ... the headache is starting to lessen in intensity since taking tylenol, followed by naproxen sodium. i even had the tylenol placed conveniently on my nightstand just because I expected this.

The suicide and pharmaceutical posts reminds me of a case here awhile back ...

A girl was found hanging nude from a balcony by her feet with her hands tied behind her back and it was ruled a suicide......

She was hanging from the balcony of a pharmaceutical ceo's mansion who's son accidently died (flipped over some stairs a few stories high while playing ) while in her care a few weeks before...

sounds like revenge of the ceo to me but yet it was called suicide

I knew a guy once who has now successfully committed suicide but he had a failed attempt once in front of a police station. He tried to boot up. Anyway one morning a police officer walked by knocked on his door and asked what he was doing. He admitted to trying to commit suicide. The police officer looked at him and said "well you didn't succeed, fuck off".

I dunno why, maybe it was way he explained it. So funny but. He was a friend of my sisters and now that I remember correctly, he told my daddy and daddy told me. And it was the way he explained it to me burst out laughing and I can just think of his face and then I start laughing too. I know it's not a nice story, but may as well take the lolz where you get them. ^.^

I think this song is about being homeless. I like it. :)

Oh okay, after finding the song and seeing the film clip picture I'm confident enough to say that it IS about being homeless.

I'd never understood the end of the second verse before where there's ghosts calling his name but I get it now, the streets are busy and a lot of people are talking and the guy is quite lost in it all, would be my interpretation. I don't get the angel bending low lyrics though.

Well that was quite depressing really, but in a beautiful way? I'd always liked the song, never seen the film clip though. I don't really watch film clips. Even my favorite bands I don't watch the film clips. Watching bunch of guys bang their heads not playing instruments and the mouths are out of sync. Gaaaaaay... :D but this was a good film clip. :)

I'm seeing Steve Earle & The Dukes next month in Melbourne, Australia. F1 Grand Prix weekend too but I don't think I'll go to it. Looking forward to seeing my sisters though. :) also looking forward to Steve Earle. I saw him before but only solo, we have two nights in a row with the Dukes. Yay!

My acting boss at the hostel wants me to be the new import/customs/shipping admin person. One of the employees is leaving and that was his job. My boss says hey.. what you think about this. I dunno, I didn't really think much about it but I accepted anyway so now I have an interview on Tuesday with a customs port official. It's meant to be really easy. Anyway now it's up to me to import beers and food from overseas and the boss is hoping this raises revenue and interest from people on far away lands. I'm excited because I get to import the alcohol. :) I at least know the truck drivers because I like to help unload the shipping containers like I did yesterday. It's a good workout.

Lol @ my dog. I give him a big green grape. He adorably holds it in his front teeth and he won't eat it because I think he thinks it's a ball. :D
