Thanks for being on that! Really. Seriously. I had no idea that one could get an STD from eating chicken, or monkeys. I thought that one had to have sex with it to get a sexually transmitted disease. The next time that I'm in Africa, please remind me to always ware rubbers on my tongue. I do stand totally astonished that one could actually eat meat and put meat into H2SO4 and even still acquire a communicable disease. Perplexed, here. Who does that work? Can you point me in the direction of any citations???? We would certainly appreciate it. You know how your public is. Correct? Please don't mind me. I'm just being artful. K P.S. THX
I've also read that it could've possibly been because of the race for polio vaccinations; but this is not a very popular theory, though it would explain why earlier SIV infections did not spread wide in humans.
Who knows? Hell most of the population don't even know the only way to get mad cow disease is by eating the brain matter.
Any bodily fluids. The complexity of the HIV virus and thus the amount of exposure required to be built up in order to get infected suggests it would have been more likely to have been via blood rather than saliva. To try and say the jump was just from sharing food stuffs, fighting and not sex defies common sense. And it wouldnt have just been from one dude, it would have been the results of tens of thousands of years of every type of primate , sub species of human fighting, cutting into the skin, sharing the carcases of dead animals.....and fucking each other Same dealio with some of the HPV strands, way to similar to ones found in chimps and bonobos that can only be explained via exchanges between the species including nookie. The papillomavirus family of viruses thought to have originated from birds. So millions of years of chimps raping chickens then Republicans raping chimps. That last line was just a bit smart alecky, I know domesticated chickens werent around chimps in ancient africa, but whatever bird species were around, and I know Republicans prefer to take rather than give
HIV/AIDs isn't just an STD. It can be transmitted through sex, but it can be through blood too. If you eat something with HIV, you have a much larger chance to get AIDs because of the amount of fluids compared to ingesting semen. It's just common sense. Also, no one fucks monkeys.
See the film "in lies we trust" for a breakdown on how HIV emerged so swiftly in certain concentrations of population. Basically, making vaccines, they included some infected monkey kidney, if I remember rightly. The monkeys they brought over from Africa to America, maybe only one had the virus but they put them all in the same cage, spreading the infection to all of their monkeys. Infected monkey kidneys for everyone!
This is as I thought. Taking examples from other inter-genus breeding, such as the horse and donkey, 99.99% of all offspring from this pairing are sterile. Continuing the line from a merge of species is often seen as impossible, due to this sterility. Why would this not apply to the offspring of human and neanderthal? We are often told things like "We share 75% of gene with mice" or "90% with bananas" and such like. Why would our genes consist of such a small amount of a species within our genus when creatures way off from a common ancestor (like starfish) can be mostly similar, genetically speaking?
Thats what this thread is about isnt it Proto humans getting busy with humans, thats why there is a little bit left in the genome> Dna doesnt replicate based on diet or exposure too infection. As for talk of infection, you sound like you are saying its ok if our ancestors were all eating each other, and raw I presume, to get required amount of fluids, but sex with each other OMG no! So some kind of Worldwide Cannibal Orgy over eons ok, But the sex version OMG thats so sick! I mean that cant be in our nature, thats so disgusting. Here's an idea, why dont we destroy all evidence of this information, then we can run around telling future generations mankind just popped up out of the blue a couple thousand years ago, but then Santa got angry at the world, decided to melt the polar ice caps and flood it, told Oprah to build a big cruiseliner with a cabin for 1 of each boy and girl animal on earth, except monkeys of course
You do know that they're saying HIV/AIDS was transferred to the humans by eating infected chimps, right? They're not saying that's how we got neanderthal DNA. The HIV/AIDS bit was a tangent to the subject.
That has more to do with chromosomes, I think. A homo sapien and neanderthal mating is less like a donkey and horse and more like a coyote and dog mating. They're different species, but closely enough related to have offspring who can reproduce.
Again: As for the neanderthals, they got wiped out, means we were running around competiting for food sources, killing them off as well as eating them, and no doubt them eating us. Some of them is let in our genome, means Neanderthal Males getting busy with Human females, and no doubt the odd horny human male getting busy with them. Killing eating and fucking. As for chimps, marmosets and bonobos and HIV. HIV isnt transferred though saliva, or the saliva left on carcases or dead flesh, it has to be live blood to blood contact and even then its hard to transfer, its a very complex virus and one that requires a high viral load to get infected, which means long term live physical contact, the only way you can get it from a food source is through breastfeeding, again long term live physical contact. If it was possible to be transfereed by dead carcasses there would be a lot more different strands and it would have transferred to other species. Thus it was passed from chimps to humans by our ancestors getting BUSY! Hard to accept, but our ancestors used to fuck chimps and did so for millennia, our ancestors used to run around eating each other including other humans. And all that kind of stuff is in your very nature, which is what we are really arguing about, which is why we got the Adam and Eve story, so we can run around and try and pretend we arent evolved monkeys Why I'm crapping on, is the tangent in this thread is given false info about HIV, it isnt spread by saliva, food (except breast milk), water or air. But by live direct blood to blood contact: Buttsex, sex with open sores, sharing needles, blood transfusions
As far as I'm concerned, this is proof Neanderthals and humans are the same species, or were close enough at one time to produce viable and fertile offspring. Yes, we look different, but within the human race there are many degrees of variation, esp. when looking at the phylogeny. Some offspring had to reproduce for us to get their dna. Unless you are one of those who believe that viruses can alter human dna. And since the issue involves the immune system, one can speculate that a disease acquired thru sexual OR non-sexual contact with a Neanderthal may have altered a human being's immune response system. But then the question is how does that get passed on to other generations? Once a person is mature can the dna they pass on also get changed, not just in the person themselves?
Im one those people that believe we are finely tuned form of bacteria and flora .. and you all thought i was gonna say "we come from squirrels. if these are so important to our life and well beings. Its possible we just evolved from bacteria and die to be bacteria again and again. whether we are bipedal or not. Also possible Neanderthals diet wasnt so good, and not having a decent breakfast killed them off..
You see, this whole thing, with Neanderthals and humans co-existing for thousands of years means that humans got used to having (what they considered) to be inferior beings around. No doubt the Neanderthals were the human's maids, gardeners, cooks, slaves, etc. So many humans just expect to be waited upon hand and foot by some "inferior" species. And since Neanderthals aren't around anymore, they find convenient substitutes. We all know who they are and how they are treated and looked down upon... When will they ever learn that they are no better than a bacterium? Oh and I see us as nothing more than the fruiting body of our DNA, like a mushroom is the fruiting body of a fungus. DNA is nothing more than a "program" that gets modified each generation. Think of each of our genes as being an "app"!!! So when a new being is born, they have a unique selection of apps. How useful those apps are at survival determines whether those apps are passed on to future generations. The genetic Apps (GenApps) themselves can be modified by RNA, right? Plus there's those on/off switches. Some things are not turned on by default.
Ugh. Look, I love the Hip Forums, I think it's a great site. But I am also really glad that I don't get my science news here. And neither should anyone else.
