This is an insulkt to people who have volunteered their time to make this world a better place, choosen careers to make this world a better place or donated money to make this world a better place (I am not talking about me. I haven't volunteered or donated to charity in a long ass time).
You want change T? Get up and do it and stop talkign about it. Help people get out of poverty and have the cognitive reasoning to understand that they can make a change. Join an activism group and donate your time
To act like you are the decider on all that is moral int he world and the rest of us are living in empty shells is ridiculous.
A lot of us work hard to make this fucking world a better place without feeling the need to talk about it all the time.
You want change? Put some hard work in and do it.
I am sorry if this is harsh, but I am offended. You get to sleep in tommorow and do whatever you want with your day while I go and counsel people, Andy's going to go work on fixing things to protect this country, Pavel's going to go bust his ass working in agriculture so we all have enough to eat Fitzy goes and works with intercity kids and numerous other people are going to work to support our jobs and the tax money for social services.
So don't talk about change and us being blind when you have done nothing recently to aide in this world's development of morality.
You want real self-esteem? You want long term sobriety. Youw ant people to respect and look up to go? Go out there and earn it. Go work your ass off and then come back and tell us how we should change the world and open our eyes.

 

And also, knowing that neither you nor your husband are independently or employer paid wealthy, I am sure he would appreciate it if you brought in an income.

Sure the world is twisted currently. I couldn't agree more. However, people have worked their entire lives on the notion that it's the best one possible. Everything that they value only has worth so long as the current society maintains. And that doesn't just apply to old people, but anyone who has spend their time, energy, and creativity working within it. How are you going to convince them that their entire lives were just a waste of time? You won't.

I can understand the frustration in that fact, but reality bites.
