if i ever find a cure for cancer i will take it to the person that i trust will listen to my ideas and not interrupt me before i reach the second word with views of my own.
to try and discuss my religion with you would demeen it as where your at, at the moment you would never understand, thats not to say you never will, however from our conversation your not any where near there yet

Yer bible verse is stupid and inane and doesn't represent me at all... I don't believe what i believe because "it suits my desires"... i believe what i believe because it makes the most sense to me... life hasn't exactly been easy for me after i stopped bein a christian... people in the south are very religious, so i'm not exactly treated like a human being everywhere i go... but my beliefs tell me to be good to people no matter what and that i should only get into a fight if someone else is in danger, not me...

Then you never experienced Christian life. Jesus says to enter the kingdom of heaven you must first be born again.

You are saying that he is being pushy. Well, I say he is defending his and my beliefs. Did he send you an email asking you to come into this forum and post your thoughts? Did I? I don't think anyone pushed you into coming in here. As a matter of fact, all of the debate that goes on in here is between Christians and non Christians. Christians will post something they find interesting relating to God or our faith in some way and sure enough a non Christian will chime in and tell us we are wrong. Then of course we deal with the non Christians who make threads attacking our faith and we feel the need to educate those uninformed people. At times these discusions will go on and on until the non Christian realizes that we will not budge. As a matter of fact, the more riddicule and attacks only strengthen our resolve to stand fast and support The Word of God(amazingly this riddicule is mentioned in The Bible, wow, another prediction).

You attack my brother in Christ and his methods of defending our faith. You use your friends attitude as a proper way a Christian should present himself. Well, I ask you this, actualy no, I point this out. With your friends attitude, have you decided to accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior or have you like so many others, denied Him once again? I will assume you have denied Him because of the things you talk about. Therfore, showing that your friends attitude that you so highly admire will not work for everyone. God created each of us for a particular thing to do. I think my brother here has been made a teacher by God, to educate those uninformed. We are all(as Christians) told to spread The Word of God, however, some are much better gifted than others. My father was given the gift of honesty. I was given the gift of leadership. My wife compassion. We each serve God and we each have our purposes according to His wishes.

As far as the cure for cancer question, well, your true nature shines through your answer. You said you woud deny the cure to my brother here. Well, as a Christian we feel Jesus is the cure and we want to share this cure with the world. You yourself make the decision to recieve this cure, it is not forced upon you. You may in your lifetime get offered this cure several times. To me it can be no clearer. Imagine you owning a car that is slowly needing replacement. First you notice the oil is leaking, but you don't replace the car yet. Then you notice the transmission is slipping, but you don't replace it yet. Your tires are worn out, but you don't replace it yet. Before you know it, you have put off getting a different car for so long it one day just dies on you, and now, you are totaly without a car. Well, we are your engine light telling you something is wrong. You can ignore it or you can fix it. If you ignore it, at some point it will be too late.

Take this information however you choose. Just remeber, you came in here amd now you have been educated. Would you like the cure? Or will you pass it up one more time?
