Bill Maher breaks an almost 30 year streak of never missing a performance. He cancelled this evening's Real Time episode after testing positive for COVID-19 even though he got both doses of the vaccine.

This Friday night Bill Maher won’t be seated around his usual roundtable. The taping of this week’s Real Time With Bill Maher has been canceled following the host’s positive test for COVID-19, HBO confirmed on Thursday. The cable network said in a statement that Maher “is asymptomatic and feels fine.” Friday’s guests were set to be astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson, World War Z author Max Brooks, and Hardcore History podcast host Dan Carlin.
“Bill tested positive during weekly staff PCR testing for COVID. He is fully vaccinated and as a result is asymptomatic and feels fine,” HBO wrote in a statement. “Real Time production has taken every precaution following COVID CDC guidelines. No other staff or crew members have tested positive at this time. The show will be rescheduled at a later date.”
On Thursday night Maher tweeted an update on his health and lamented his first missed episode in nearly 30 years. “Thanks to all wishing me get well - hard to do since I feel perfectly fine, but I appreciate it!” he wrote. “Most upset about ending my streak going back to 1993 of never missing a Politically Incorrect or Real Time episode. Oh well, even Cal Ripken had to sit one out at some point.”

Israel Continues to Deteriorate in Chaos

Not only are the Israeli's entering into the Gaza on the ground in answer to the barrage of missiles from there lately, they are battling social chaos as citizens mount attacks on Muslims throughout the country.

CBS News reports:

Tel Aviv — Israel continued to bombard the Gaza Strip Friday with artillery and airstrikes in response to a new barrage of rocket fire from the Hamas-run enclave. More than 100 people have now been killed in Gaza and eight in Israel as the conflict continues to escalate.
Days of violence have seen Israeli soldiers massing on the edge of the territory, though the army stressed there has been no ground incursion.
The Israel Defense Forces tweeted earlier Thursday that "air and ground troops are currently attacking in the Gaza Strip," and CBS News and other media outlets reported that troops were on the ground. A spokesman for the military later told CBS News that there are currently no ground troops inside the Gaza Strip, but said air and ground troops were carrying out strikes on targets there.
In recent days there's been carnage in the streets of Israel's mixed Jewish and Arab cities as neighbor-versus-neighbor violence spreads.
The central city of Lod has seen some of the worst violence. Footage captured on a cellphone shows what the government calls "Jewish extremists" marching through Arab neighborhoods, calling for blood.
"They are moving in our streets they are throwing stones they are shouting at us, they are beating," said Rana Masimi, an Arab Israeli who teaches English at the local high school.

How the hell did he manage that?

Out of the 124 million people fully vaccinated here in America, and only 6,000 have tested positive for the coronavirus.

Although the number is likely higher since most asymptomatic people like Bill Maher, either won't even know they have it, or don't get tested weekly.
