Ours too, Ian Didn't stop everyone basically cancelling everything and going home, though:tongue: The train driver came on the tannoy and described the conditions as "arctic" It was about 2 degrees!
Its SO annoying how people are now saying "enjoy it-this is a once in 20 years thing! Heaviest snowfall here in 18 years!"...are they taking the piss!? What happened to their memories? Or did they get wiped out when they hard those phrases on the news? I can remember heavy snowfall in 2007. It also snowed here a couple of weeks ago. I also have childhood memories of playing in snow much deeper than this, and Im 20. So how do they explain that exactly?
Quite heavy for Britain, to me, is over a foot. Ok, maybe from 10 inches. To everyone else here it seems to be anything from a centimetre
I heard on the news the other day that London was almost shut down cause it snowed.. Is that right ?? Peace
Everywheres pretty much shut Ian. Im in Gloucestershire and all the schools and most suprmarkets are closed...Im looking out of the window now and can see no more than an inch on the ground, if that In fairness the east are supposed to have had it worse though
I thought it snowed alot in England how come you guy's aren't used to it ? Well have fun rolling in it.. I can't roll around in this snow cause it turned yellow from all the Dog pee!!!! Peace
We get it quite a lot around February time, its true. Well, few years or so like this, anyway, from MY memory. But maybe Ive just been living in a different England all these years and the raving is justified Im going to go out for a walk in it now. Id better get the huskies all ready
it snowed here this week, we got yesterday and today off school. I find it really funny how every one has a panic attack about 2 inches of snow it's relly silly but i love the snow it's so pretty, early in the morning when no foot prints or cars have messed it up.
Scott was the only person in his work who bothered to turn up this morning. Everyone said they couldnt possibly get in. Scott, the only train user, managed to get in with no hassle at all, and his manager lives right next to the station Whats worse is theyre keeping Scott there
OH MY GoD we have flakes the size of golf balls here, ok not quite but nearly!!! Its 5.10pm and its snowing good! Maybe no work tomorrow ??
Me too Ian, maybe tomorrow night they say, but I have a lovely day of freezing rain to look forward to first!:cheers2:
