Some of the more enlightened politicians are beginning to see the light, but it still doesn't go far enough, I also want to see the abolition of the monarchy too to be replaced with an elected President, a Directly elected second chamber and our archaic voting system replaced with STV. Labour leadership candidate Rebecca Long-Bailey vows to abolish the House of Lords
If you don't like our monarchy or democratic ways then just p**s off to America, I'm sure being ruled by Trump must be wonderful
Everybody with a different opinion should just GIT! In fact, fuck the impact of the magna carta as well. England is a traditional country!
In case it has escaped your notice, there are many Republics all across Europe - France, Germany, Italy, Austria, Hungary, Roumania, even Russia. Which reminds me, both the French and the Russians were able to very adequately deal with their respective aristocracy .....
So, I'm an extremist, I'm a Republican and want to see the end of the monarchy altogether. The latest fracas within the 'firm' could be the thin end of the wedge and may see the end of the monarchy altogether quite soon.
Did I say that ??? - show me where I've said that, I merely pointed out that the Russians and the French did so
You stated similar things before and now you call how they went about it 'adequately'. I would say rigorously. But if you read closely the keyword in my post is 'if'.
Whilst people have right to complain about the Monarchy - abolishing them however should not be the priority. It always puzzles me however, when those expressing a preference for a Republic don't live in one
Huh? Because if they don't live in one they should move to one? Not sure you ment that at all! But not sure how you mean this any way.
