So, first off I am a 18 year old guy, and I've sorta been wondering for a while if im bi (or considered bi) lol. Bare with me cause this could get pretty weird/convoluted. Ever since I was 16 or so i've loved yaoi (if you don't know just google it) it's basically gay japanese anime porn. The weird thing is yaoi is pretty much a "girls" thing, you know? What im trying to find out is if im bi just for the fact I like yaoi, what do you think? I don't think i've ever been sexually attracted to a "real" guy, but I have been sexually (and perhaps romantically) attracted to girls. Could it be the romanticism of yaoi that I find attractive, what do you guys/girls think?
Hello, I saw that no one replied to your thread and I figured I would give it a try. I'm a female into Yaoi as well. I'm also a big reader of any genre. Alot of people read genres that don't pertain to their way of life, that's what makes reading so much fun and interesting. We get a glimpse into a foreign life or way of thinking for a few hours and it gives use relief from the stress of real life (in my case anyway). Just because you are a man that likes Yaoi doesn't necessarily make you bi. Just like you said, you have never been attracted to the real thing. That's a sign as well. To me Yaoi also contains bdsm elements. That could be whats drawing you to it. Maybe you are a sub and you identify cause that's the only place you read about men submitting. Just my opinion, what do you think?

Leaving Yaoiville for a sec. I find it amazing that Yaoiisprettysweet checked in today for the very 1st time he initiated this thread (5/22/11). I was going to mention this to soldiergirl1001, but decided to leave it alone. Then, I guess a higher power stepped in and told Yaoiisprettysweet he needed to get to HF right away. To be fair, the artists of these comics draw the men pretty damn girly. I mean, literally, they have no masculine features. At all. So its not like you're jacking off to bearded bikers. Have you tried reading it's opposite number, Japanese lesbian comics, whats it called, "yuri" maybe? They're basically the same regarding lots of romance and kissing. Even if you do find the idea of kissing a man sexy, just keep it under your hat unless you meet a guy you are attracted too, its not the end of the world to fantasise about it.

yaoi, You are welcome. And Giant has a point, try reading the lesbian comics. Also Yaoi doesn't stop at comics, there are also novels written. Check out the author Derricka Snake. She is stricktly gay gentre though. If you like the romanticism and sappiness (as I call it) search for hetero sappy books. They are all over the place.
