are you not telling others they will burn thought? not literally though, but you are basically saying this, you are telling them what to do and the consequence, even though you are not a prophet and it s just your interpretation, i wouldn't be surprised if these things happen, but they way you are going about it is slightly hypocritical.

not to rag on christians, and i do my own share of doing that, but i do so wish we'd hear more about the other lines of convergence instead of all the time being just about them. even if they are what we are mostly surrounded by. not so much christians knowingly practicing their beliefs but crypto christic thought. precisely because we are so overly familiar with that actualy. and i know i do this too. and for precisely the same reasons.

as for the people who run away when we ask the right questions;

i like to think christians would have been more like buddists if there had never been a rome. and there very easily could have not have. more easily then an awfull lot of people seem to realize or even be willing to consider.

then there wouldn't have been a middle ages, or at least not the one there was. and more recent history, given that precursor, would have been very very different.

WWIII in my eyes.....Netanyahu wins the next Israeli elections, and starts doing a bunch of jackass imperialist things. Soon enough, he attacks Iran in what he calls a pre-emptive strike. Ahmadinezhad strikes back with nuclear arms and there goes Israel. the US and Europe then strike back at Iran. In response, the Arab states boycott the west for oil, and economic depression of massive proportions begins. China grows richer and richer and begins to expand its might around Asia. Russia, supported by the dying west, attempts to stop this, and a local war starts there, and soon enough spreads around the world. The endgame scenario, everybody is killed but iceland.

 

pretty far fetched. not the netinyahoo part but the rest of it. the major iritant isn't israel but the bullying of the u.s.

not just an iritant but a real threat to life as we know it on planet earth. economic and ecological 'melt down' is an order of magnitude more likely a scenario then large scale war with nukes. not only more probable but one part of it, running out of oil, is inevetable, while another, collapse of the dolar, damd near is, if only because nothing lasts forever.

rocks and even trees last longer then people do though. and if the trees can survive the little furry creatures will eventualy come back too.

the biggest thing we're a threat to IS our collective selves.

i don't see a lot of tossing nukes back and forth but i do see what could be a lot of people starving because of our bone headed adamant insistance on depedence on oil, right up to the last drop, when it finaly does run out. that and continuing to romantacise making more babies instead of looking for painless and unbiased ways to lower over all human fertility.

I think it will be some sort of localized nuclear war that is a part of a greater, more conventional and economic conflict. Another prime example is India and Pakistan. If they go to war, most likely other nations will be dragged in, but I dont think it would see thousands of nukes flying hither and thither. We forget that history shows us that nukes arent nessisary for a dark age.

 

jack ass WW3 would last maybe 2 to 4 hours by then enough ICBM have destroy what is call the modern world including most large citys of important industrialise nations .

 

After 4 hours maybe few of our nuclear subs remaining nukes well be lob at the middle east and a few at France.
