Well the bible is comprised of many books that were written well before the bible. So it's not like Christians wrote the bible, they pieced it together using different historic literature, then they took out what they didn't like to amend it to the new Testament. Some of the stories in the bible are thousands of years previous to Jesus' appearance, the stories are even up to 10,000 years earlier, because if the stories talk about Noah and the flood then we are looking at around 11,000 years ago.
